The way Cammy has been scoring lately I bet Tampa would love to have him in the lineup for their playoff run.

This is an epic thread! This beats the Phanuef buzz and has a way better story line to it. I wonder how many pregame line combinations Chris Lindberg is making right now? Haha

Stop selling the kid short, he's 5'7

He's going to learn what Canuck tastes like. And you can't put a price on that.
Also, if they're going to burn a year, he'd damn well better be in the lineup on Sunday.

Remember guys, if he does not score 3 goals and collect 4 assists on Sunday that does not make him a failure.

The Flames burning an entire year of Johnny Gaudreau's contract so he can play in one game this season would be the Flamesiest thing ever.

So what are reasonable and tempered first year expectations of Johnny and Arnie?

If either of them make the Flames out of camp I would call it a pretty successful season.

That has to be the best environment for Gaudreau and Arnold to play in, right? I mean just look at all the young NCAA players on the Flames or Heat right now (Knight, Agostino, Van Brabant, Hanowski, Billins, Colborne, etc). Heck even some of our veterans spent time in NCAA like Glencross, Jones, and Westgarth. This is honestly one of the better place for NCAA players right now, as these guys should have no trouble helping them gets acclimated to the NHL style of play.

I honestly see 600 goals and --- no ok that has been done.
Realistically, JG is a highly skilled forward who is both shifty and creative. He has an incredibly high hockey IQ with that rare 3 dimensional vision. His head is constantly on a swivel and he is very strong on his skates. To top it all of he has a home grown attitude and loves to give credit to everyone else but himself.
Bill Arnold is a great two way player who reminds me a lot of Stoll. He can chip in offensively and even play with top end talent, but he always takes care of business in his own zone first. Bill's game has a very high chance of translating to the NHL and he is a born leader that players both respect and follow. As sureLoss also pointed out in another thread, he has the potential to be a face off specialist as he dominated that category in NCAA.
JG to me is a top 6 or bust, BA has a greater chance of sticking based on the fact that his style of play can be adapted up and down the roster.

Told that Johnny Gaudreau has, in fact, won the Hobey Baker as College Hockey's top player. He and Arnold will fly to meet team in Van.
