Having met and talked with Hard Poo man a few times, he's an awesome guy, really cares about his ward and the city. Great guy to support, much better than Joe Connelly who is an utter dufus.

Lord has done too much negative campaigning in this election as a whole, and it came out in this online debate.
It seems to me that he's made his opinion on a few items solely so that they are contrary to the existing mayor (in order to appeal to voters that don't like the current mayor). However, for some of these things, he (as a former alderman), should really know better.
Of course, being contrary may help his vote count, but hurts his credibility in being able to do the job - in my eyes.

Nenshi put Lord in his place when he asked him to provide where exactly tens of millions have been wasted. Lord deflected, then Nenshi asked again, and Lord said it was in opportunity cost, not anything actually tangible.
Funny stuff.
I will also not agree with Lord on the public art funding. I'm sorry, but things don't always have to be local. I fully welcome international art submissions. That type of contribution to the cultural fabric of the city is what makes cities great - like New York, Melbourne, Tokyo, etc. We're not Red Deer anymore.

This is one example of what I just mentioned. Lord knows (should know at least, he's a smart guy) that the city consults artists for all over, picking local ones sometimes, and non-local ones sometimes - just as it should be.

Like most others here, I'm not surprised Cory Morgan is pulling this stunt but I once thought Jane was a little cleaner in her politics. Guess not.
