the Game of Thrones dragon being used in the Medieval world
.
Not just that...
Spoiler!
The techs who were working with the dragon were played by David Benioff and Dan Weiss, the showrunners of Game of Thrones.
They were also talking about a possible new owner from Costa Rica ... which could be a reference to Jurassic Park (which, like the original Westworld movie was written by Michael Crichton).

It seems like every episode features a stand out acting performance. Last night was Aaron Paul’s time to shine.
Overall E5 was more style over substance but I loved the music and learning Cirac’s backstory. There is still so much unexplained, I have no idea how they will wrap up this season in 3 episodes.

So I binged S2 over the past few weeks, then caught up on S3 and after the finale tonight....I'm just meh.
S1 was amazing, S2 was brilliant in how it was setup and revealed and S3 was just...meh. I expected much much more and set myself up for disappointment.
Anthony Hopkins was sorely missed. Man that guy could just command a scene.
I binged through the first two seasons of west world. Haven’t started seasons 3 so haven’t read any of the comments beyond the discussion of the first two seasons. This show has been awesome so far, so looking forward to season 3.
That was an epic twist filled season finale. Season 3 was a bit of a mess with the story going all over the place and many questionable character motivations but overall still very entertaining.
I was getting Batman v Superman vibes with Dolores v Maeve. If they had just talked sooner their entire confrontation would have been avoided. I guess we got some cool host fights though. Also there was clearly some Fight Club influences with Caleb and the ending. No Pixies but Pink Floyd will do.
That extra long post credits scene definitely has me ready for Season 4.
Spoiler!
Is that the last we see of Evan Rachael Wood? Maybe she will show up as part of Halores' army?

Season 3 is okay (i haven't watched the finale yet) but two things about this show are really starting to be irritating.
The first is the way characters are constantly okay. I mean, I get that they're robots and they can be downloading, but the stakes are always lost when they always come out of everything okay.
Obviously, the finale could change that. How many times in the first two season did Ed Harris get close to dying and then didn't?
Secondly, but far more irritating, is the breathy, hushed voice everyone seems to talk with. A lot of characters seem to do it, but by far the worst are Evan Rachel Wood and Jeffrey Wright, and I like Jeffrey Wright.
Just finished this today. You can’t deny how visually stunning the show is and the series finale was incredible visually especially for episodic television.
I feel it has really strayed from the character driven pieces of the story that were so powerful in first two seasons, and in particular season 1. The themes this year were interesting, but the characters not so much unfortunately. A little heavy on shootouts and battle scenes too.
Season three has just totally lost me. The powers exhibited by the hosts on the real world are just too much and too arbitrary. The corporate story line is just not that interesting.
I may do what I did with TWD season 2 and just skip straight to the last two episodes. Sounds like the show really picks up for the finale.
Another thing I forgot to mention. I want to like Aaron Paul but I don’t think he has much range as an actor. He hit gold on Breaking Bad and it may just have been the right combination of role and actor that will be hard for him to replicate.

I got so tired of seeing Aaron Paul's confused face, this is basically season 3 in a nutshell

Paul was perfectly cast as Jesse Pinkman. He was perfect for the young trouble maker who was quickly aging out into old loser role. And he was great at occasionally throwing a spaz. Through the course of breaking bad his character transitioned into beaten down and vengeful guy, but Paul just became trapped in that role. Whenever Paul is in something new, it's like he is just playing Pinkman from the last season of breaking bad, and it's so jarring that it pulls me out of whatever he's in.
I was actually pretty excited for WW season 3 and Paul, but definitely have mixed feelings about the results.
