Wow, that is the most technical "um actually" I have heard in quite some time.

My question is, how was Cake? The band has had a reputation for not doing a great live show going back a long time.
It was fantastic. John McCrae is a great front-man. He engaged with the audience, made funny comments, and had the crowd singing along and doing call-and-response to multiple songs. Shot t-shirts from a t-shirt cannon (after joking about their intention to shoot hot dogs instead) The band's playing was tight, and they played all the songs you'd want them to except "Italian Leather Sofa." And they brought the FF organizers and parade of lanterns kids onto the stage for their "I Will Survive" finale.
So that's 2/2 great Cake shows for me, 20 years apart. And I know people who have seen them 5 or 6 times and loved every time. So I'm surprised to hear they have a reputation for not being a great live show.

I saw a clip on Reddit of them doing War Pigs. It was one of the most covers ever.

Amazing to be honest. This was my 4th time seeing them; three times here and randomly in Cleveland Ohio last fall and besides coming across as a little awkward way back when (2003? 04?) they absolutely killed it. They do alot of outdoor shows and the Jacobs Pavillion in Cleveland was a great gig.
