Do you guys believe that Hornqvist is colluding with the Panthers and is faking an injury? Do you think Hornqvist wants to be on LTIR?

He probably isn't 100% like everyone else I'm the league. It does happen way too often though that a team needing cap space just has things work out nicely in the end.
Smith plays every playoff game and then the next day they know he is out for the entire following year. Pretty hard to defend the league on LTIR.
I'm sure lots of players would enjoy a long LTIR break while collecting 100% pay

I would bet that almost no professional athletes would enjoy a long LTIR break (and pretend to be injured to get it).
Like, none.
Some of you really do some mental gymnastics to try and complain about LTIR

A right shot RW putting up nearly a point per game this season? I'd be shocked if Treliving wasn't poking around on him.

That trade wouldn’t happen because it puts us over the cap

Start the car. Canucks are looking to shed salary though, so I’m not sure the flames line up well for this one.

Oh that’s why I think the Flames are realistically out. I don’t think they have the cap for him next year.

Lucic+Rooney for Boeser maybe a conditional pick based on performance if that is still allowed?
Not sure that works with the cap next year?

Solves three problems in one shot. Unlikely that happens. Would love it, but Vancouver isn't THAT dumb.

Only thing that takes mental gymnastics is defending LTIR after Mike Smith
Nobody in the league is 100%

Half the points are PP. Including two of his four goals. He's injury prone and one dimensional, if he's not scoring he doesn't do much else on the ice. Also $6.6M for two more years is exactly why the Canucks want to shed him and his contract. He hasn't been the same player after his injury after his rookie year

Why would the Canucks trade a flawed but still decent player for our crap?
Maybe a conditional pick?
If Lucic and Rooney were involved, you'd need to add a least a 1st round pick to get them to even listen.

Rumor is they want to dump the cap hit. Lucic clears $5.25M of the cap hit. I don’t see any team taking on Boeser without wanting to send back an equally questionable contract. The Flames waited too long to move Monahan and the Canucks have done the same with Boeser.

I am sure the Canucks can move Boeser for another questionable deal like Josh Andersen or someone with 2+ years left after this season.
Based on the comments on the radio they are aware the return will be soft and they are prioritizing getting cap space.

Imagine
Huberdeau-Lindholm-Boeser
Ruzicka-Kadri-Toffoli
Dube-Backlund-Mangiapane
Coleman-Lewis-Ritchie
