Out for the lethbridge air show. They stop here often for that. Not sure what fighter jets were supposed to be there but you likely saw one

The Aerospace Museum in conjunction with the SAIT Aero Centre are hosting the Aviation Calgary Expo August 25-26 at the SAIT Hangar.

Aircraft scheduled to be there include:

-B-17 Sentimental Journey
-P-51 Mustang
-Corsair
-Harvard
-Spitfire Replica
-Boeing Stearman
-Beech 18
-T-28 Trojans
-SE-5
-Current military aircraft (last time it was a Hawk, Harvard II, and CF-18)

The last time they did this was when the Lancaster was in town a couple of years ago. I am pretty pumped up to see the B-17, last time one was through YYC was around 2004 if my memory serves. Apparently on Friday, August 24th it will conduct about a 20 minute flyover of Calgary on its arrival.
