Dudes I just got a PS3 for my birthday from my wife this weekend. I can't wait to buy this game and get in on some NHL action.
Should I buy a headset? Do you need it to play effectively or is it just for chit chat?

Sliver, it's nice to have but only for chitchat. I still enjoy playing a few games on weekday nights if I have the chance. I'll be on tonight.

I've stopped playing EASHL/OTP too and don't have any desire to start playing again any time soon.

So should we combine the two teams then?

i think we might as well keep the pro team open. we did put together a nice record when we played. since all the gms had the abilityto go between teams, i assume anyone that still wants to play can join the casual team again. i might get back into it, but for now i have got hooked on GM mode.

Is anyone interested in playing EASHL any more? I still am in the evenings so if I am not the only one, please post here or pm me. I enjoyed the league.

I'm on a break right now as well. Waiting for the developers to tweak the game to make wrist shots more effective since it's killing the game for me.

What would everyone think of doing a mini 2vs2 EASHL league? Basically if we had enough people interested we could split up into 2 man teams (1 Defenseman and 1 forward) and then play every team in our mini league once or twice. You could update the original post in the league thread with standings and stats (winning team PMs me the score and player stats).
Personally I really enjoyed our comm games because I knew the tendencies of most players, so I think a mini league could be a lot of fun. Also there would actually be something to work for (the playoffs and league title) rather than the regular EASHL where there is no chance to win the league unless you play thousands of games per week.
If everyone thinks it's a stupid idea I won't bother, but if a number of people were interested I would have no problem organizing it.

Like I said in the original post it would be 1 forward and 1 defenseman (because no one likes playing all CPU forwards), and I was thinking it would just be random. After we see how many people are interested and what positions they would play I could just do something like this to decide the teams http://www.random.org/lists/
