Some local lower mainland breweries are kickng out some nice stuff. Dageraad is a Belgian brewery that has some very nice beers. Nice little tasting room and the people there are great to talk to. Yellow Dog has really come on strong lately. Their stout won beer of the year in BC I believe.
Two of my favs (may have mentioned them before ) are The Back Hand of God stout and Gael potato ale from Crannog out of Sorrento BC. Both are fantastic.
I need to drink more beer...

The should be careful with that beer label. Reese's has a trademark on that shade of orange.

I just bought a 6 pack of a green flash pale ale that was almost 3 years expired. Good god it was rank.
That said, green flash brewery is amazing. If anyone ever heads to San Diego, I would strongly recommend taking a visit. A lot of great beers for about $4/pint.

I put it on and couldn't find the first few beers I ordered then gave up. Maybe I will try again.

Yeah, I use untapped - usually just for tracking new beer. I don't usually record the the regular happy hour beer with co-workers. But I use it because I would see a beer and know that I had tried it but couldn't recall if it was worth getting again. I don't chase badges but it is neat to see when they do pop up.
Although I think I was often too generous in my scoring and which I could retroactively deduct a .5 off everything - as I try more and my tastes seem to change, some things I was happy with just don't measure up to some of the new things I've tried.

A good friend of mine is the wife of the brewmaster. Their sour ale is amazing.
Speaking of sours.. does anyone know where to get some? The only thing I've found as of late was Le Terroir from New Belgium.
Also, I'm addicted to milk stouts as of late, particularly the Elysian Split Shot espresso milk stout.

Have you tried Rodenbach? You can buy it, as well as their Grand Cru, at Co-op liquor stores.

Didn't care much for this - it was okay, but wouldn't buy again I don't think. I would rate it above their Dragonstooth Stout, though. I like Elysian as a brewery but stouts aren't their thing.
If you haven't had La Vache Folle IMS you should get one immediately.

Fernie Brewing is putting out some tasty Beer. Ol' Willy Wit Belgian Wheat Ale has become one of my favourites. What the Huck is also quite good.
I have also become a fan of Tool Shed's - People Skills.

You can purchase Toolshed beer right at their brewery in the NE now.
They aren't ready to fill growlers yet though (still waiting on some equipment - it takes time to build a brewery).
