Just an absolute shame they didnt upgrade their goaltending with Stars like Parekh, Misa and Chernyshov.
I guarantee there would be backups on teams that missed the playoffs that would be an upgrade.

Well Parekh can know Brad Treliving is no longer iur GM so he doesn’t have to worry about ####ty goaltending.

Down 7-3 in the third. Is this a best of 7 series or best of 5?

TBF Misa and Chernyshov have both been disappointing this offseason. Only Parekh delivered.

Only one assist tonight. Maybe he's a bust?

Ah man, Saginaw got killed again too. Parekh isn't pulling them out of that mess no matter how dynamic he is.

So Saginaw plays Saturday at 7pm. If they lose we could see Parekh up here after that maybe in against the Sharks Monday or Ducks Wednesday. I'll fully admit I'm a little giddy just thinking about it. Expectations would be low, but it would be so exciting to see him suit up and play some sheltered minutes here.
The buzz in the city and Dome would be unreal.

Huska has, so far, never played a first-time call-up in their first available game, I don’t think. So the Sharks are out. Realistically I would look at their last home stretch, and maybe see him against the Wild (depending on the standings, it’s going to be a huge game, so maybe not) and more likely the Sharks on the 13th.
EDIT: I will say, I think this is the right approach. If he’s done Saturday, bring him on the road trip and let him practice, hang with the team, and watch a couple games to get a bird’s eye view of the systems and the pace.

That is the key, I don't think it is fair to throw him into the fire without at very least having some time to practice to at least get a few more reps in the Flames system. Training camp was a long time ago.

You have to get these guys into practice a few times before you throw them in the fire that is NHL hockey. Not sure if his body is ready for NHL yet either...but if it is and he gets 3or4 practice sessions on....then Huska will get him some game time.

Yeah, I agree Pepsi, definitely not Monday and likely for Wednesday, but should be good for a game after that.
Friday against the wild would likely give him 2 full practice days plus three game day light practice/team skates and id say that'd be enough to get him into a game with sheltered assignments/minutes.
