Does it really matter? I thought I saw moneypuck putting Nashville at 1% going in to today. Hang on.
Checks...
Yeah 1.5% and even a win only gets them to 2.7%
I think what we're really hoping for (in this one shared interest between our 2 teams) is Vegas and Nashville play a violent game that goes to 20 rounds of shoot out

Why is White Out 403 starts a snowball fight in The "FLAMES" Eternal Playoff Optimism Thread?

Why the red bum? It's just weather.
You're insinuating that every one else is upset over the weather when it's just you lol.

About 4-6 inches of snow for Winnipeg. Sounds crippling.

But there's possible visibility issues that could affect flights.

If they just stop throwing snowballs for a few minutes we could get the plane down on the runway.

SEA has 92 points, so 5 will put them in.
Hoping the surging Canucks play loose and run up the score on to Kraken tonight. The one sided loss spurs discontent within the Seattle dressing room and they promptly go on a 4 game losing streak opening up the WC1 spot for the Flames.
Side pot is 2 anti-Berdard points for the Canucks. The Canucks will ride the high for a few days, but by Saturday, when the Flames come to town, the high has worn off and they will roll over for the Flames.

Oops, still had the NHL page open from last night (before their game ended). Yes, 92 points, so their number is 5. Thanks.

Losing last night took them out of the drivers seat. Tonight is pretty much game 6 in an elimination game when you are trailing in the series. Win tonight in regulation puts things back on track.

It was never likely they were going to win 9 in a row on their way to the playoffs. If they can rattle off another 4 game win streak they have a shot.

You are right that they had one mulligan in their remaining games (except for the game against the Jets), you just wish they used it for one of the other games.

Calgary was never in the drivers seat, or at least no more that the Jets.
The Jets also had complete control of their destiny.

True, especially when you get efforts like they had against the Ducks and the hawks, two teams that are begging to get beat.
The Flames can be somewhat competitive these days against the teams throwing out AHL players, but against real NHL teams?
But they still have a shot, so dare to dream, what else is there.
I think last night was a sucker punch to the gut for many of us. It will take some time to recover.

Last name's game was brutal. That being said I'd rather see the Flames drop that game and win tonight than the other way around. A win tonight gives the Flames wins in 5 of the last 6.
GFG!
