Holy crap that game on Thursday was something else.
Tied at 13,600 heading into final with the 3rd place guy just behind at 12,000
3rd place gets final wrong and goes down to $2 (more on that in a bit)
2nd place guesses Carlsbad, and she goes down to $600, having bet $13,000.
The champ guesses correclty Carlsbad Cavarns but miss-spells Cavarns as Cavrans and is ruled wrong. He bets eveything and drops to $0. So Bevin wins with $600.
Just an incredibly close game and high drama.
But again poor betting with a huge consequence.
Vivek knew that Bevin and Jacob were tied going in. There is no reason for him to bet all but $2. He correctly bet so that he would have something left...$2 in case both went all in. But it was still a miss-calculation as he should have probably bet $0 and hope the others would get it wrong but bet a lot (but not necessarily all) because they were tied. He would have won. The most logical bet would have 3,601 so if he was right, and they were wrong but bet $0, he would win. But if they both bet big and were both wrong he would win.
One of the best games though in some time.
