Conte isn't like LVG or Mourinho though. He seems more pragmatic, and Chelsea wasn't terrible to watch under him.

Oh yeah....winning France at a trot and landing Messi for practically free.
He's really screwing things up...
If I'm Poch I am going to 'George Costanza and Play-Now' things up! You are going to have to physically remove me!
So now lets circle back to United.
The fact of the matter is...any manager worth his salt isnt going to touch that club with a 10-foot pole. And thats not a surprise.
They've got prestige, they've got money and they have some really good players and I think they did a decent job of jettisoning some dead wood. Unless Phil Jones is still there....I dont know and I dont care and realistically he'd have been better than Maguire on Sunday.
Why do people think United are signing 'Last Gasp' managers? Where is Van Gaal these days? Does anyone care? Mourinho was....you'd have to be an idiot to sign that man.
Hauling OGS out of Norway's second division? Oh yes, that doesnt seem pathetically desperate at all.
Nobody. Wants. This. Job.

well first of all, OGS didn't come from Norway's second division. Molde's been consistently a top 3 club in Norway for years. Second of all, OGS was not thought to be a long-term appointment, but rather a caretaker while they figure out Mourinho's long-term successor. OGS did pretty well though, so they just kept him. But to suggest they got him because nobody wanted the job is obvious nonsense.
and of course people want this job. Conte has been in "come get me!" mode all week.

When is the last time a club legend has managed to …. Manage a team to glory in the EPL?
Every sport seems to suffer from this idealized dream.
Watch spurs put Ledley king into the hot seat…

Oh no....you're channeling your inner Bagor and thats when 'obvious nonsense' becomes obfuscated.
Conte wants this job?
Not that its untrue, but that I cannot even make this post out of fear of being binned. I know I'm on thin ice.

But 'Asia'....its kind of a big place.

it is, it's from Thailand. But I think they do sell it all over the world. For some reason I thought it was beer, not an energy drink though ... so now I'm less surprised that I've never seen it

Apparently the literal Thai translation is "red water buffalo", Red Bull must have been waiting to sue if they went there lol.

I don' know why I bothering to respond here, because you've shown no propensity to actually discuss things. I guess I feel like that is the point of a message board, and everyone else in this thread seems to have no issue with that. Sure, we all support different teams and have different views on things, but everyone else seems to be able to go over this rationally, whereas you act like a child and start with name calling and act as though you're right and everyone else is wrong and an idiot.
Anyway, my views on Ole haven't changed at all. He's in over his head, his tactics are not good and he doesn't set that team up for success. The blame lies completely with him; he's been supported clearly, and has a squad that most managers would kill for. There's no reason that squad isn't challenging, aside from Ole. I'm not sure that there's much to disagree with there.
And yeah, last year he managed to get some lucky bounces, win some games that they probably shouldn't have and next thing you know they were top four. That doesn't change his managerial prowess though. He's the same guy that Cardiff relegated, only with a bigger chequebook and obviously better players. We saw the exact same with Frank Lampard, where he was mediocre at best with Derby County, took over Chelsea and couldn't get the job done.
And yeah...both of these guys have gotten results against Spurs. Big deal. We've been a train wreck for what...3 seasons? I wouldn't get too excited if Ole wins 3/4-0 this weekend. This isn't being branded as "El Sackico" because things are going swimmingly at Tottenham.

With all due respect there's not much to debate with you when there is rarely anything of substance posted.

Isn't challenging?
You feel that squad is on the same level as Liverpool's? Or City? Or Chelsea?
Are you seriously suggesting that he underachieved last year by finishing second?
Asides from him hanging McFred out to dry in the last couple game what tactics in your opinion has he got wrong? Didn't you say last season if I recall correctly that you rarely watch United games? How did you come to that conclusion then?s

LOL! See! That was the best you could come up with last season also?
But in fairness to you it's nice to see you've put your silly penalty argument to bed.
Let's put your argument into perspective regarding him.
Last year United went on a run of 28 games where they were beaten once (by Sheff Utd) and cruised to a second place finish and you put that down to "lucky bounces".
For whatever reason you stfu during that run and had nothing to say. Why was that?
You've got an obsession with him and appear desperate to be right after your silly session last year when you were ranting about him being fired after a bad performance yet were blind to the fact that he was far outperforming Frank and Jose. And had been for a long time.
Where I stand is this? Is he a master tactician? Far from it? Does he appear to freeze in games? Yes. Does he get things right? More often yes than not but most recently more often not than yes.
Since he arrived at the club has it moved forward or backwards? By far forwards. If he was fired tomorrow is the club in a better or worse place than when he took over? Indisputably, a lot better.
Do I think he'll be canned? Next three games will determine that. He is on a short leash again just as he was last year.
Will I be devastated if he is? Depends on who they bring in.
Will I be angry if he grabs a few results and isn't? No. Far from it. I won't be ecstatic either.
His biggest weakness? He's simply not ruthless enough. Should have got rid of Pogba for any price after that CL bs.
Now ... why don't you tell us all about that 28 game unbeaten lucky bounce streak? And why you stayed so silent during it?
And Nuno won't be fired. He's untouchable. I think Levy has got the message that replacements aren't that easy to come by.

Perfect, then just don't worry about me and what I think, and we're fine. I'm at least 99% sure that no one else in this thread cares to read you and going back and forth, so it's probably best that way.

How is he not on your ignore list? Perhaps you should look deep in your soul and wonder why you engage with a pedantic, not particularly interesting individual? Plus you keep quoting him.
