Definitely way less stock for PS5 than Xbox had. Wow.

I also got one for my friend from Wal-Mart (disc version). Got really lucky with the refresh. Was all logged in with my accounts and had my payment information set up - didn't even realize I bought it right away.

I was just going to post that 12k units seems like a lot of stock. But it sounds like there is a lot of demand for a $600 console!

My only shots left appear to be bestbuy and the source. I have seems some decent movement on the green bar for bestbuy about 1/3 of the west through and only 231 people ahead of me at the source

I definitely see a huge error I have made which is not having accounts set up at all these retailers. I was at checkout for Bestbuy, ToysRus and wal-mart and by the time I went to pay they were out of stock.

Frustrating but not the end of the day. Hoping to still snag one before the holidays but I can also be patient and will eventually get my hands on one.

Worst part is feeling like I have it in my grasp and then losing it

Yeah, having accounts ready and logged in (if possible) is a big step to really cut down on the race to checkout. Some people save payment information the day before but other people aren't comfortable with that in general though.
