Di Francesco has done a brilliant job with the setup too. Crazy high line and great pressing ... very risky, but he's been rewarded.

This is more shocking than the Barca comeback last year for me. Roma dominated, no luck whatsoever. Barca's season right to a B- lol.

That's got to be amazing to be a Roma supporter tonight in that stadium. What a win.

How about Valverde? First loss of the year and the fans want him sacked.

Yeah situations like that where the VAR would be helpful.

Ref angle makes it tough to see if it's Sterling or the Liverpool player that the ball comes back in to the box off of.

If it's Sterling the offside call is right, if it's Liverpool then it's a good goal. The VAR would correct that one in 30 seconds, instead it's the wrong call.

No excuses for City, losing 0-3 then 1-2 to Liverpool will def take some luster off the season. This isn't like they lost to a Spanish giant or Bayern, Liverpool were beatable.

On the bright side I can hop on the Roma bandwagon.

City are an insanely talented side. I was terrified watching that until Salah scored. What a game. It's always nice to have some luck on your side in the big moments.

I'll take it every day.

I dont know what to say about City's disallowed goal, I'm sure the UEFA Officials association will release a statement about it being the right call...

That being said, these kinds of things are why we need VAR, and more importantly than just VAR is the dissolution of authority where someone watching a replay can make the call without 22 players in his face and 50,000 fans screaming one way or the other.

Look at how many refs you've got on the field. The Primary ref, two linesmen and two goal refs.

Again though, I dont know how many times I've complained that the goal-refs are criminally under-used.

The goal ref probably had to the best view of it, but he cant say anything because hes overruled by the primary ref and the linesman who made the call.

Roma president James Pallotta agreed to pay a fine and apologised to Mayor Virginia Raggi on Wednesday after jumping into a downtown fountain to celebrate the win over Barcelona.

Surrounded by a crowd of flag-waving Roma fans, Pallotta performed a backward somersault into a fountain in the Piazza del Popolo.

Here we go! Mandzukic makes it 1-0 Juve after 2 minutes and now they've got the away goal.

They need at least 4 away goals before the road goal rule matters though.

4-1 or 5-2 are the only scores where it would make a difference.

Sevilla should have a goal already. Bayern shaky again to start.
