You're just feeding off Hamilton's early struggles and not coming in as an elite defenseman right away. Anyone following the Flames knows that we have a strong defender that still carries star potential.
I think you'd agree that if you were answering your own two questions honestly you'd say
1. Of course Las Vegas would take Dougie Hamilton at "that contract" (you said it like he has an anchor contract that they might not want), and
2. Of course we'd be upset, that would be a debacle of monumental proportions to lose Dougie Hamilton to the expansion draft to the point where it would be talked about for years as the most head scratching exposure in expansion draft history.
Asking questions to generate discussion is fine but this was just disingenuous.
