Your username is ironic because the Oilers are actually not amazing. They are bad and you should feel bad.

Also as if you're farther along in your rebuild (I mean re-tooling or whatever the spin is these days) You got a legit center prospect and not a lot to go with him. They create next to nothing for chances and if you get average goaltending will be embarrassed on the regular. Good luck!

Lights at the end of the tunnel. Our prospects are good, hard working, and happy to be here. How are yours doing? Oh. Ya. Sorry...
Year one of a rebuild is always hard. You remember year one of your teams rebuild? You know? 7 years ago?

Thanks for the tips. You should be the GM of the Oilers. Your delusional thoughts would make you a great Oiler executive.

The Flames suck, no way around that, but the point is that you guys are our most hated rivals and are in year 5 of your rebuild while we are in year 1. Nobody is saying that we are going to make the playoffs, we are just enjoying watching the continuous gong show known as the Edmonton Oilers.

We weren't expecting to be competing for a playoff spot, so that doesn't bother us. We were expected to be at the bottom of the conference, you know, where your Oilers are, so we're actually over-achieving. We're tickled to have a team that is competitive game-in-game-out and gives their all. Fans from other teams admire the gumption and attitude of our team and give praise to the organization for not just tanking for a better draft pick. It feels good to be a fan of a team that does the right thing.
On the other hand, the Oilers were expected to be a playoff contender and one of the teams to watch this year. As it turns out the only way to watch the Oilers is with your bag on and no eye holes. The Oilers have sucked harder than Linda Lovelace and show no sign of coming up for air. It is total humiliation being an Oilers fan. Other fans and teams are laughing openly at the futility of your entire organization. There is nothing appealing about Oilers hockey and there is little hope of a turn around. You have agents coming into town telling the team how to handle it's players. The only way this could be any more entertaining is if Chuck Berris was hosting this gong show.
See, it doesn't even matter if the Oilers turn it around and play abover .500 for the rest of the year and the Flames don't win another game this year. The fact of the matter is that the Oilers are suffering through another abject failure of a season, being out of the playoffs before the start of November! That is a new record for futility! Another badge of dishonor for the Oilers to wear. That makes anything that happens to the Flames suffer-able.

We were prepared for how bad we'd be. What were weren't expecting was the comedy coming from your team being a complete embarrassment. It's free humour, like finding an extra french fry order in your take out bag. So, thanks for that.

In year one of a rebuild the Flames are already ahead of the Oilers, in year 5.
Congrats.

Yet the Flames are sitting in 13th place in goals per game average, and 20th in 5 on 5 gf/ga, and that's without any number 1 picks in the lineup. that shows that the Flames generate chances. Sure if you look at the San Jose game you might have a point if it wasn't one game.
Look its ok for you to come here and defend your team and bash the Flames, but for god sakes at least know what your talking about. But then again it just looks like your trying to emulate Kevin Lowe who like you is clueless.
Otherwise you look fooling

I am just confused how a defensive system called "THE SWARM" where you chase the opposition into the corner with multiple players has resulted in the most GA's....By 10!!!!
I for one CAN NOT believe that NHLer's can pass to a wide open player when pressed! It worked at the AHL and everything....

How do we know that he's not in fact MacTavish? Doesn't sound different from the guy that addressed the media today.

Just got into it with a few Oiler friends of mine... just blows my mind how ignorant and arrogant they still are when it comes to their team. They start talking about McDavid and tanking for him and I just start laughing. They should be competing for a playoff spot and yet they talk about tanking still!? Absolutely terrible and then they tell me I'm brutal to argue with when it comes to the Flames Vs. Oilers. Well maybe because I can back my #### up with facts and it just frustrates them because they know I'm fricken right and they're wrong!

And that makes the Flames better how? Your cupboard is nearly empty after years of trading away picks or dropping back in the draft. How's that future superstar Backlund working out for you? This is gonna be his year right? Oh and where is the Sven is a healthy scratch thread?
