Mine had an update message pretty much as soon as I completed the initial setup process (logging on to a network, date, time etc)

No preorder myself. Called up Future Shop and by sheer fluke they just got in their order. No docking station yet for myself but at least I will have the transformer for my trip to Mexico next week.

Odds are if you didn't preorder just keep bugging Future Shop. They seem to be the only store who wasn't doing preorders and just going on a first come first serve basis.

It was the one way south...but they ran out when I was there. Just try calling some of them and ask when there next shipment will be arriving.

Futureshop Shawnessy shows they have them in stock but probably worth calling before going there.

I'm so torn...do I wait for the ASUS Memo? Do I wait for the ASUS Prime v2 with upgraded body to improve wifi and GPS...and possibly a 3G version? I'm so sick of my Playbook locking up or the browser crashing and the lack of apps...but official 2.0 OS is right around the corner. The only upside to my playbook right now is the fact that my company paid for it...and they won't pay for a Prime.

I have been calling FS quite often for a few days. They always say they have none and, in fact, have never even gotten a shipment yet.

So I roll into FS Shawnessy based on the info here and speak to 2 clerks standing together. One clerk tells me they don't have any. Then the other clerk looks at him and say's they received 4 yesterday and that they are all sold aside from one on hold. So that clerk goes to the back and gabs the one on hold and now i'm the proud owner of a Transformer Prime.

I am thinking the other clerk was holding it for a friend.

Long story short, go into the store and ask....

• LTE Wireless (IPad has a larger battery then IPhone)... which confuses me, I thought the IPAD mainly used wireless networks, which I would expect it to say "n" not LTE, but I am sure someone can explain

Messing around with it now. It's pretty good. I am having Wifi range issues though.

Granted, I have an old Wireless G router... would it be worth upgrading to something else?

iPads have always come in WiFi only and WiFi + 3G/data versions

There are known wifi issues with with the Prime. Are you running ICS? If not an upgrade might improve things.
You can always try a wireless N router...and return it if it doesn't impreove the situation. I recommend this one:

That's probably a good router but I'd highly recommend getting a dual band (2.4Ghz/5Ghz) router. They aren't much more and my 5Ghz band is about 5 times faster than my 2.4Ghz band (probably due to interference).
