Taking a while to get to 5000
|
A Tuesday night between games in November. And no rumors preceeding today.
WTF were they expecting to hear?

Crash and Bang Winger

Duclair would be a good get if the price was low and it should be as the cats need to shed salary. Only 3 mil a season and for one more year also. Should make for a good winger for Hubey as he scored 31 with him last year.If he is fully over the tendon tear he would also bring much needed speed to the lineup.

It's an interesting idea because of the established chemistry and lack of the same (so far) in Calgary for Hubderdeau
But while the Panthers need to shed salary, so do the Flames.
If Kylington was available his salary is similar at $2.5M v. $3M.

I've been thinking about Duclair as a fit as well now that he's ready to come back.
How much cap room do we have? This sounds like it's going to be a cap dump for Florida so we would need a 3rd team to take salary from us to fit him in.

Well, since, like, Toronto is the only place there is, it is technically impossible for anything to come from there. 'Cos it would have to leave the universe and stuff.

Extremely unlikely that Arizona is on his list of 10 teams he can be traded too.

Panthers will likely have to find a trade to activate Duclair from IR. Article mentions Duclair, Bennett or Reinhart as potentially being moved. Just speculation at this point, however Panthers will need to get creative to activate Duclair.

Listened to fan960 this morning, i guess it was seravelli on talking about this. Gotta admit i was shocked at the names being bandied about.

Reinhart has been pretty disappointing this season and has the larger cap hit, but has a better history of being a consistent producer compared to Duclair.
I was Panthers GM, I would look at trading Duclair first, Reinhart second, and Bennett third. Of course, the return means everything. If some team was going to overpay for any of them, they should take it.

If I’m on the team I’d much rather have a top 6 forward than Lucic at $5M doing nothing.

It could be like the Ference for Stuart deal. I highly doubt the players in the room think Lucic is "doing nothing" out there.
