so they should start another goalie and tank?

Not speculation, not rumors, just boredom.

When the Flames are healthy, I think they need to trade a LWer combined with a D for a top line RWer.

I wonder what Dube and Andersson/Hanifin/Kylington would get you. If people feel that Weegar is better on the left side, then you deal Hanifin or Kylington instead of Andersson.

Huberdeau - Lindholm - PlayerX
Mangiapane - Kadri - Toffoli
Coleman - Backlund - Phillips
Lucic - Ruzicka - Ritchie
Lewis

Hanifin - Weegar
Kylington - Tanev
Zadorov - Stone
Mackey

Personally I've liked Weegar more on the RH side with Zadorov, than I have on the LH side with Tanev.

Me 2. And if the team maybe thinks that killington well be back then it's good for them to build chemistry now as Killington would slide back in with Tanev hopefully

A top 4 of Hanifin/Tanev and Zadorov/Weegar would be fine by me.

Same, and Sutter even mentioned how he prefers him on one side over the other but didn't elaborate.

Before we claim other teams' garbage let's give our own players a chance.

Rooney should hit the waiver wire.

Flames should target Joseph from Ottawa. Not lived up to them acq plus down the depth for RW there. I think his speed could be a good fit with Huberdeau.

I like what Ruzicka is doing with Lindholm. I hope they keep them together. He was a great add.

If they could find other combos to get guys like Mangiapane and Dube going that would be great. I do think they will bring one more goal scorer eventually. That’s their biggest hole.

I just think a player like Konecny would fit this team like a glove. Love his snarl, speed, and offence. Treliving loves his trades involving team control and Konecny has two years left at 5.5.

I've heard rumours he lives in Calgary during the offseason. (Not sure if that's true?)

Dube + 1st protected would be my offer. Deal with the offseason cap structure later.

He's their top forward and on pace for like 90 points right now, locked into a $5.5 AAV for two years. The ship to acquire Konecny at a reasonable price has sailed and is certainly way more than an underperforming Dube and a late 1st round pick. Flyers could get a kings ransom if they put him to market.

He would have been the perfect Hanifin trade to bolster our top 6, but unfortunately Kylington + injuries have made trading from defence a no go.

The time to acquire konecy was in the summer. Can’t see Philly trading their best player at a reasonable contract right now.

I think Ruz-Lind-Toff have been doing good enough together, before the Flames start spending assets on forwards early in the season, I think they should give these lines a good look.

Ruzicka - Lindholm - Toffoli
Huberdeau - Kadri - Mangiapane
Dube - Backlund - Coleman

Not really sure it matters which one you call the first line, that's just a matter of prospective. But gives Hubey guys with a little more finish to distribute to.

^^^

That’s it right there.

Those are the lines I really want to see for an extended period.
