Man the last 24 months and probably the next 12 have and will be the worst possible time of my life, I say this without exaggeration.

Things have been slightly projecting positive, and this is truly a blessing and proof that the arc of the universe truly bends towards justice, and often needs a big push.

Praise be and E=NG forever, inshallah.

Some more thoughts to this glorious evening.

The 2004 run still hurts me deep, 20 years later.

My hope, after seeing the Oil Stains make an improbable come back down 3-0, only to squander it on the biggest stage, with arguably the best player in the world, I hope in 20 years, they are even more pained than I feel.

I am the most petty fan in the world when it comes to those dips up north. And i love it

Sportsnet showing a goosebump inducing playoff montage right now with music. So sweet knowing the ending.

630 CHED, they are built for MANY more playoff runs like this. Sure they are, once the pay Leon, Bouch Bomb, Skinner and others, how can they fail.....

Less than two hours later and I’m pretty much good, just a game. It’s sucks, and this would have been a fun, fun night if they won, but they didn’t. Maybe they never will in my lifetime again. Who knows? Was a fun ride, had some great memories and now it’s done.

Trying to find a replay of the game, even an NHL in 30 and sportsnet has decided it's time for blue jays in 30 on all channels. F*** you sportsnet. If the oilers had won it'd be the game on repeat for the next 72 hours. I'm so glad SN's favourite team lost.

They were fortunate to get past a choking Vancouver and Dallas played too soft and absentminded.

Never mind scraping against the cap, the carousel of goalies, and rental like Henrique, the over payment of Connor Brown, and getting dirt bags like Kane and Perry on the cheap...most of that goes away and they're left with really the cap increase to find 7 bottom forwards again.

I love hearing sad Leon. F'ing tool.

I actually feel a bit bad for McDavid. If he goes to another team all is forgiven... he's given his soul to the oilers. He carried that team the whole season.
But he's a big baby for not coming to get the Conn Smythe. Is he crushed after the loss? Sure. But you're a professional making 12.5 million a year. Get your ass out there and be a professional.

So glad that nightmare is over, aside from barely avoiding the worst thing imaginable I'm also mainly excited we can stop having to spend to much time & energy worrying about the oilers... Now let's get back to bickering about the draft!

No kidding. I remember watching Kucherov chugging beers with no shirt on. But Roger's team lost so click.

Pretty sure I've run out of thanks. It was entertaining not seeing the game and now watching the CP reaction during the course of the game.
All is right in the world, tomorrow the birds will be singing and the sun will be shining.

Cali- super happy for you!
