Just noticed the Manfraud large sign in the OF. Interesting that security is allowing it to be kept up. I thought they're pretty tight on signs in stadiums these days.

If the Athletics win because of that stupid stuck ball I'm gonna be pissed. Vladdy would've scored easily

From 3.5 back of all 3 to now 0.5 game back of Texas and 1.5 back of Seattle and Houston. Not a bad week on that front.

And 2 more vs. Oakland, followed by 3 vs. Kansas City. Keep this pace and the Jays will be in a good spot.

Obviously the Texas series will be huge for Toronto passing an AL west team but Seattle has a really rough schedule to go as well. They just lost to the Reds and have two easy series to go vs LAA and at Oakland. But other than that it’s 4@TB, 3LAD, 3@TEX, 3HOU, 4TEX. That’s a pretty rough schedule. Texas also has a really tough schedule with only easy stuff being the same teams as Seattle. Houston has by far the easiest schedule but I think they’re also the worst of the 3 teams with all their injuries. It’s not like the Jays have it easy after this week but Yankees should be beatable.

Jays have been far more clutch lately. Of course that stat doesn't count all the 1 out double plays.

Yeah at this point in the season, positive vibes only these last 2 weeks.
Season has been underachieving to this point, there las few games way too close, that we can all agree on, but hope they can pull things together in the next 2 weeks, get on a streak, make the playoffs and make some hay when they get there.
They'll be 5+ months of an offseason to complain and rearrange the roster.

The two weeks before reporting to Buffalo, later labelled as “medical testing” in Toronto, was also weird.
I feel like it’s Manoah being unhappy, and the Blue Jays keeping a lid on things, but that’s all speculation just based on his on field mannerisms.
We have a strong starting 5 without him. So if he’s gonna huff and puff at least the house shouldn’t blow down.

No doubt he's being humbled now. Guys like him rocketed up the org charts and were probably told he's a god among men growing up. He hasn't improved. What are the Jays expected to do? The team doesn't revolve around him. In fact I think most would say he's been given too much chances this season without showing much promise. Keep him down the rest of the year until he has the humility to work on himself.
