Ya I don’t think there should be breakfasts or related events until Stampede actually starts but that’s just me.

The Stampede Code is real. Can I wait in line to stuff some crafted pieces of garbage cakes into my throat whilst sitting on haybails that smell like piss listening to fishing in the dark in a parking lagoon at the depressing Killarney community centre.

Oh but there is a face paint weirdo lady.

Meh...its free food and community. Let the people have cake! pancakes!

I was looking at that link and might be considering hitting up the Ghanaian-Canadian Association of Calgary's breakfast! That sounds like it could be a cool way to switch things up!

Besides if all of these communities want to have their Stampede breakfasts, you cant fit all of that into 10 days.

Scour Eventbrite and crash some random corporate or vendor events. Life is too short to wait in a long line for pancakes and a sausage.

61 mm in 2 days is particulary notable since we only get 350 mm for the entire year.

The Caravan Committee only has so many volunteers and equipment. City wide event rental stuff gets tapped out during Stampede, so it wouldn't really be practical for everyone to try to do their event then.

It's also a bit of marketing in the run up to Stampede...

It is notable, and yet we are still below average for June, albeit it with 7 more days to run in the month.

The temps look nice but I imagine it has to be a little humid hot.

A little reprieve with today's high 29, feels like 37 at the peak.
