As with E. Kane, the initial asking price for Nash is: 1st pick + prospect + lesser player/pick/prospect
Lot of GMs think asking prices are really high right now.
End of the day the bottom line price for Kane and Nash will be what Minnesota gave up for Hanzal last season which was effectively a 1st+2nd or a 1st + prospect
If the Rangers haven't already done so, the Rangers will tell teams they are prepared to retain a large portion of Nash's $7.8 million cap hit to facilitate deal and maximize the return.
Grabner's price is believed to be around a 1st round pick only.
There are some GMs who believe Grabner will be a much more cost effective option than Nash.
The word Rebuild is finally being used by the Rangers and no one is untouchable.
That doesn't mean they are going to rush everyone out the door but they are going to listen
if young players, prospects, and picks are coming in, they will consider it.
Dorion met with Melnyk in Barbados to map out plans for the trade deadline.
Usual suspects on the block : Hoffman, Smith, and Pageau.
Sens may keep Hoffman because he is showing great chemistry with Duchene
No fire sale, but Sens are trying to be best prepared for the draft in Dallas.
Kings have shown an interest in Phaneuf but not at his cap hit
Unless the Sens are willing to retain on Phaneuf, unlikely he gets moved
