I do think Donaldson is getting a bit victimized by some bad luck. He is missing pitches yes, but he's also hitting the ball really hard and its just not finding the gaps and holes. Pretty strong evidence he is due to break out which is needed.

Also, six of the last nine balls Donaldson has put in play at 100+ mph have gone for outs.

Josh Donaldson (3-for-31 in September and 0-for-his last-23) has put 16 balls in play this month with an average exit velocity of 91.4 mph.
Division/playoffs are still wide open. Red Sox only play AL East opponents the rest of the way so either way it bodes well for Jays so long as they can start picking up some wins.
