Do you recommend Boat? I'll give that a try also.

I like Boat for Nexus 5/7. It has a user agent toggle so you can set to desktop if you so desire.

Next is good but I still use Chrome. That being said, I checked out Opera mini again for the first time in years and it was lightning quick.

Anyone know of a free app that allows you to turn on the defined call forwarding automatically at the click of a shortcut? Or even at a certain time? My work phone needs to be call forwarded each day at 4:30 and call forwarding turned off each morning at 7:30.

Some of the free alarm clock apps allow you to launch tasks at certain times. Alarm Clock Plus allowed this.

Tasker should allow you to do that I think

I'll check out a few. Thanks.

Yeah, not free though and does much more than I need. Just need the call forwarding set on and off.

You should get Tasker though. It's a really powerful scripting tool. You can do a lot of cool, specific stuff that apps might not accomplish.

Yeah, I've heard it was good, but just need the one thing automatically. Plus it's a work phone. Would rather not put out the bucks for apps if I don't have to...being cheap.

For something that specific in the system settings I would think you would need to go with Tasker. Don't think things like Alarm Clock plus or Condi will do it.

Tasker is only $5? Worth it if you want to spend the time to learn it. Also, it is not tied to the phone but your account so it can be added to other phones not just your work one.

Quickcallforward will do it but it is a paid app.

Rainbow is an app that lets you copy, transfer, delete etc files across your various cloud storage platforms. I think it is still early on in development but this could come in handy. I know I move files around from my Google drive to Box or Drop Box all the time usually through ES Explorer, this might work a little better but I have not tried it yet.

few new apps out there that seem fairly cool.

Peek - essentially the Moto X active display for any 4.4 device. Seems very cool.

Sunrise Calendar - a new calendar app, I like it a lot. I believe it was only available on ios before.

Copy - new online storage app but it nativley supports chromecast which could be handy. Also free 15GB for signing up.

Not to mention the Supreme Court of Canada's (head-scratching) decision that one does not have an expectation of privacy in one's phone unless it is locked with a pin code. This means that if the police search you incident to arrest and find your phone, and it is not locked with a pin, they don't need a search warrant to go through it.

While the Moto X's method displaying notifications was always a great I thought, I still don't get why they haven't tried something else other than the small icons at the bottom.

You mean when you have more than one notification pending on the Moto X? Yeah, it would have been nice to shuffle off the top one and see the next in full, but I suppose that was beyond what they wanted you to do with a locked phone. I'm glad I at least get a preview of the ones on the bottom.

I'm sure part of it is also reducing the amount showing on the AMOLED screen to a minimum, since that was the one of the main points they tried to get across, which was reducing battery usage.

Nice new avatar by the way.

A more accurate complaint would be how you have to select the little icon versus being able to swipe on the screen to move through them or something. My pudgy fingers had trouble hitting on the right icon with a Note 2 using the active notifications.

If anyone's still looking a twitter app to match Tweetbot but on Android...well, we're still out of luck. However, I've been trying Fenix lately and it's turned out to be very smooth, really good looking, and feature filled. If you want a decent twitter app, this is well worth the $3 to get.

I just switched from using Plume since November, actually. It's really fast, but the amount of taps you need to do to get anywhere is kinda silly. Also, I've run into plenty of odd bugs overall just hamper the experience for me. Overall, Fenix stands out and looks great compared to any other app I've tried on Google Play.

I just use the plane old Twitter app, works well enough. I have heard good things about Talon and Hoot suite though. Never tried them but they get good reviews.
