Jesus Postma, just get out of the way why dont you?

Jones deserves a hell of a lot more from his team mates than he is getting right now.

And Savage with a terrible slashing call on Carson McMillan...

And Bloodhoff gets away with a trip on the PP, lol.

Just no jump right now. And once again sloppy passes coming out of their own zone.

If the McMillan call was bad I guess that is the even up call for the Hitmen right there.

I hate that call on both instances, as the terrible analyst said there should be some responsibility to hold on to your stick.

And just like that the Rockets give away the lead.

Just like in the PIT game tonight....that was a classic online NHL 09 goal...the cross crease pass again. This one and takes a bounce for a guy to slide it into an open net.

Was that Backlund on the breakaway?

Whoever it was that was a terrible effort.

Holy crap, back to back breakaways, the latter caused by yet another stupid shot attempt by Seabrook.

That was crazy end to the period. Breakaways both ways. Going to OT.

They really need to lay off the weak chips off the boards. It hasn't worked all series long. Gotta be stronger to clear the defensive zone.

Watching the last 14 minutes, and especially the last 6 minutes of the third period re-inforces my own thoughts on major junior hockey.

It may be exciting, but only because of unbelievable errors, physically, but mainly mentally that allows chance after chance.

There were about 4 chances on the Hitmen side and 8 on the Rockets side in the last 6 minutes to get what would've likely been the winning goal after Calgary tied it. This is when NHL teams would lock down and not give anything easy the rest of the game...quite the contrary here.

Back to back breakaways, including Backlund. The Hitmen then have 5 chances to clear it but are hemmed in their own zone, guys can barely skate they're so ragged, guys lunging at pucks out of tiredness and doing nothing but putting themselves out of the play.

Back passes to no one, shots at the blue line into shin pads getting stripped in their own zone. Calgary's goalie is having to bail some of these guys out too. Poor puick control and lazy passes on the offensive side too, which could've turned into odd man chances.

Rockets at the back aren't much better...horrible defensive coverage, lazy passes and letting the Hitmen walk right around and through them to the net.

Good on those who follow this hockey through the year and enjoy it, but personally, real hard to watch some of this stuff.

There's a games worth, maybe a series' worth of NHL regular season game errors on both teams, in the last half of the third period tonight.

CP would be going ballasitic and rightfully chastising half the team on offense for being lazy and missing passes and not handling pucks, and defense for not clearing, not covering and giving up stupid plays to allow great chances, if this was the Flames playing on a Tuesday night in November, the way Hitmen did in the last 6 minutes...except this is in a series deciding game that was tied at 2.

Again, edge of your seat stuff to watch but extremly frustrating if you're used to watching the NHL game.

Trust me, it's just as frustrating (and nerve wracking) if you're used to the junior game too.

But you know what? The game is a lot like the "golden age of hockey" that people love to reminisce about. NHL hockey in the 70s and 80s was all about mistakes, and players with talent going right around the players without.

It's still fun hockey though.

Near chances for KEL, a post for Calgary...6 minutes into OT. Hitmen making KEL look like they are on the PP the way they are easily able to move it around the Calgary zone and shots from the point.

Hitmen flat out need to get better. We're as fast as these guys, and we can pass as well. We can't let them dominate us this way.

Well, we put the puck in the net, but yeah, that was definitely a glove pass, lol.
