Another game without a HR

I’m not sure whether to be optimistic with the record despite the pathetic hitting , or pessimistic knowing how bad the hitting is and that the starters can’t keep this up forever
It’s hard to tell, it’s been so cold this week and that’s really tough conditions. But yeah, there is a continuation of the lack of power it seems.

Sandlin looked a bit gassed, hitting two batters. Garcia with a lot of pitches too, as well as Green.
Lack of offense is going to burn out the bullpen early like it did last year.

It's tough when they've played 21 innings the last 2 days. The starters are putting up enough inning to keep the bullpen fresh, but the extra innings make that tougher.

I was surprised they brought Sandlin back in again - Yariel Rodriguez didnt pitch today or yesterday.

I also thought given how well he's been hitting I'd have intentionally walked Durran. Devers is a big double play candidate, and Durran's speed is neutralized with the runner ahead of him anyway. I get that's putting the winning run on base, but giving him a chance to drive in the tying run isn't great either.

Sure the extra innings, but if the bats had a 4 or 5 run lead like they did a few nights ago, the bullpen collectively plays less, maybe a guy like Sandlin doesn’t come in, Garcia pitches less so he can pitch tomorrow, etc.

Oh for sure. A bigger lead means you get innings for Barnes and Fluharty instead, and don't go to extras. The two things that affect bullpen usage are starter length and offensive production. And the starters have consistently been doing their part...

I can’t fathom why they are waiting until next year to use the challenge system

What a joke.

3-3 in the last 6 games, all losses were by one run with horrible umping

You probably could have made a diamond in Davis Schneider's butthole when he took that 3-2 pitch. He had taken all 5 pitches so far, and should habe been balls, but the previous 2 were both called strikes. That's a tough take. Tha kfully for him the ump got that one right. Impressed with his discipline not to expand the zone with a full count and 2 bad calls against him in a row.

Or just move to full automated calls of balls and strikes.
The tech exists, and it's undermining the game.
Makes it very frustrating to watch.

I can't recall a string of games with such miserable weather like the Jays have run into on this road trip. Basically the whole trip has been cold and miserable.

For my next prediction, 6 numbers will be drawn in the 649 tonight.

Oof. A few feet short of a 3 run homerun and turns into a double play.
