The club has tweeted that the match is ON. Apparently air quality is “good” down there, and set to improve. Seems odd, but I’m not there, so… off we go.

Air quality was pretty decent. Great call to push forward with match.

Terrible opening 10 minutes, but Cavalry dominated afterwards. Great atmosphere again at Spruce Meadows.

Vancouver were atrocious today. Gifted a goal a few minutes in and just collapsed after. Bakare chirping the crowd after taking the lead and then giving up 3 goals in the next 20 minutes was legendary.

No issues with smoke at all, the wind took care of that. Folks who stayed home (and I get the decision to do so) missed out on a great game.

Great game after a rough start. The only thing missing was some home goals in the south end.

I love how Kamden turned his game around after the bad goal.

Kamdem's not a CB and it was pretty obvious during his few games deputizing. He's been very good at LB since moving over to that position.

Ideally Montgomery gets healthy soon and we can rely less on Chima. He is usually good for one big gaffe a game. Today's was atrocious, put us down 1-0 very early, and were it against a better opponent it may have cost us the 3 points.

Ah, my mistake. I thought Kamden blew that. In that case, Kamden had a great game haha. I love not having to start Escalante there so much.

Yea the goal against was absolutely brutal by the defender (Can't remember who).

He had all the time in the world for a quick pass to the RB, but faked a pass to the keeper when he realized that was a terrible idea, looked back to make a pass, then ran out of time to pass it or clear it. Back of the net.

Great response by Cavalry after that though. Musse is a great player.

I love that the players and Tommy greet the crowd after. My kids think these guys are football gods and when Sergio, Jose, Tommy etc waved and smiled and gave thumbs up, they were floating on cloud 9. I would encourage people with kids don't leave early. Your kids will love it.

It was a fun game to be at. Good to see some goals as well!
The smoke situation was pretty decent. Glad we went down for the game.

Musse is an impressive player out there. Escalante definitely makes things happen. When he got subbed in, it seemed like every touch he was generating or trying to generate something magical.

Gotta say, I liked Ntignee on Bevan's second cap. Good burst of speed, deft ball control to split the D, and a smart play to lateral it Bevan for the finish.

That dude is still green and I have not been happy with some of his gaffes before, but he's starting to show some good results of getting some ample playing time.

Cavalry should charge a fee to visiting clubs who get to play on our pristine, real grass pitch.

They all play one those plastic turfs that are murder on the body (and the heat is unbearable on sunny days).

Spruce Meadows should host a WC game

Back in 2019 i thought it wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility for Spruce Meadows to host a CMNT game sometime, but then their popularity exploded with the world cup campaign so now it's too small a venue for them.

It was neat to fill Commonwealth in 2021 for those two games. But the 2nd game was less than 50,000.

If the NT are gonna do a Western game, McMahon is not much crappier than Commonwealth, and at 35,000, it would be a perfect capacity for a WC qualifier (although we are already qualified so...2030 qualifiers?)

I'm of the impression that if Musse was more consistent, he'd be in MLS for sure. His talent on the pitch, when he's on, is much higher than everyone else's by a long shot. Yesterday was one of those games; his footwork was incredible.

Yep, he was my unsung MVP of the match. Brilliant player.
Also good to see, Cavalry midfielders, Charlie & Kobza, boss the centre of the park for majority of their time on.

The Kobza diagonal on the third goal out to the right side was just picture perfect. Having a guy in the middle that can do something other than a back pass opens some options.

Heads up, today's game is on OneSoccer's YouTube channel. The Ottawa / Vancouver game is on at the same time on their main channel so this one's for everyone.

I was feeling a little annoyed when the Fubo schedule showed the other match. This will do just fine, however.
