It’s probably the Jeopardy Invitational Tournament (JIT) to decide who gets a spot in the next Jeopardy Masters - I read that the start of filming for this was delayed because of the wildfire.

The TOC should already have been filmed before the start of the wildfires

That makes sense because some of them are champs from previous seasons including some of the real legends

Ohh....you know you've got to get them all to the nearest Bar and get a Trivia game going! That'd be freaking amazing!!!

Just crash some local bar with a handful of loaded Jeopardy champs and grab one of those little bar trivia machines?

It'd be epic!

I don't understand the rules, I guess. I probably should so i stop getting annoyed when they apply them. Rules as to when it's OK to be close in spelling/pronunciation and when it has to be exact. That $3500 they removed late was game, unfortunately. Unfortunately, because I was enjoying this.

I enjoyed Ken’s not so subtle digs at fascism during that category tonight

The monorail clue and Ken’s response to the answer was also excellent

The most entertaining part of tonight's show was Claire's facial expressions as she increasingly realized she was way over her head in Double Jeopardy (can't blame her the questions were incredibly hard tonight)

Amy, Ben, and Troy eliminated already - all players who I thought would be favorites to win

Tournament is wide open

These clues are super difficult

So...I was a little under the weather and called it an early day today so I watched 'Pop Culture Jeopardy' on Amazon.

I wont lie...it didn't go well.

I thought Pop Culture Jeopardy! was going to be a stupid gimmick for stupid people but now I can’t get enough of it.

I enjoy the added humour and the questions can be very challenging. The streaming format works well too with added time for banter and every clue revealed.

Sorry, I meant "I didn't do very well."

Apparently my Pop Culture knowledge is rather lacking as compared to regular Jeopardy.

Overall I thought it was pretty fun and Jost is a good host.

She was lucky in final there. I don’t understand what her betting strategy was

Yeah, really weird. I can only assume that when she realized she had exactly double the third place total, she thought "I only need to bet a dollar", then when she wrote it down, she had a brain fart and instead bet all but a dollar.

From what I can find, the rules for a second place tie are the person who had more money going into Final is awarded the second place prize money, so she really didn't need to bet anything.

----------

I also found it funny that the winner on Tuesday won with $799, then finished third on Wednesday. That means his total winnings would have been $2,799. So, he would have won more money if he had finished second in his first game ($3,000) than he did by winning one and losing one. Of course, he should have finished third in his first game, but both the other players overbet in Final, which allowed him to win, so he still came out ahead.

Perhaps bested by how easy today’s final was.

OK hopefully the last time I have to say this for a few weeks but tonight’s final Jeopardy was the easiest final Jeopardy I have ever seen.

To be fair only because we’re Canadian. It was probably hard for the Americans.
