Personally I don't understand why so many Flames fans want the Sens to lose. Jealousy? Envy?
Because there is nothing unlikable about that team. I'm a Leafs fan and I am okay with them winning the cup this year.

I actually like Ottawa, outside of Burrows.
I also wouldn't be upset if Montreal or Winnipeg won the cup, though both of their fanbases don't make it easy.
Cheering for a provincial rival to win the Cup is terrible though.

At present? Of course I would love for the Flames to still be playing. But I can't say that I feel much envy because the Senators are. I just don't really care.

- Erik Karlsson
- Mark Stone
- Mike Hoffman
- Kyle Turris
- Derrick Brassard
- Solid goaltending
- Good defensive depth (Phaneuf, Ceci, Methot, Claesson, Wideman, etc.)
- Good coaching
- Good forward depth (MacArthur, Pyatt, Pageau, Ryan, Smith, Stalberg, Wingels, Dzingel -- all good NHLers)
- Good villains (Burrows, Neil, (to a lesser extent) Phaneuf)
- Jyrki Frickin' Jokipakka
