Totally agree it could have gone either way, and I would even go as far as to say that the Ducks under-performed given their potential, so in that respect they and their fans should have reasonably expected a better outcome.

Hopefully the Flames can hand them another early exit next year for them!

My four least favorite players in the league: Kesler, Perry, Bieksa, Getzlaf (obviously burrows would factor in if canucks were relevant) all eliminated in one fell swoop. I could not be happier.

Seeing Kesler sad always warms my heart.

What I believe, is that the Preds made the playoffs despite below average goaltending over 82 games. I believe Pekka Rinne is however a good enough goaltender to get you to the promised land if he has his confidence because the team in front of him is awesome. I also believe Rinne in his prime was one of the best goaltenders I've ever witnessed, but I don't believe he's in his prime anymore.

The lack of sleep I experienced is more than made up for by the sheer joy of watching dejected Kesler after another game 7 loss.

Glad to see the Ducks eliminated even if a Sharks/Ducks series would be likely more entertaining.
Some of Anaheim's players were sitting Ducks (just had to say that) in the games they lost. I don't know if a Sharks-Ducks would be more entertaining. The Sharks-Predators should be fun to watch.

second year in a row Bieksa was a first round playoff disaster. Another team (along with Chicago) that should have offered more for Russell (or Hamhuis).

Last year Beauchemin at age 34 was one of the best Ducks defenseman this year at age 34 Bieksa was a play killer.

The Ducks extended Bieksa for 2 more years at 4M. Colorado paid Beauchemin 4.5 for 3 years... 2 years left. In a couple of years when Gio is their age he will be making 6.75 and have 4 years left.

Every time. Your post was going so well, then yet again, you segway in a pop at the Flames somehow.

When people constantly pull you up on posts, I start to feel a bit of sympathy for you. But when you keep having endless digs at the team you are supposed to support, I just sit there thinking you deserve all the criticism you get. You are an awful poster. Do you even support the Flames, or are you just a cleverly disguised troll?

I don't care for the Preds plodding style of play but delighted the Ducks are gone. Despise that team.

I heard a million hockey pool players cry out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

I feel that something awful has happened.

Cool, I'd rather have Gio. Hopefully he stays healthy and we win a cup in that time. 6.5 for a captain that leads his team to contending is a good deal. Gio is a special player and IMO still has room to grow.

His acceleration was insanely fast this year, even if he does lose a step he'll still be fast. He chased down breakaways multiple times.

Boomer and Rhett were hilarious on 960 this morning.

"Suck it Kesler!"

"Yeah, go cry with your silver medal, you yankee doodle dandy!"

Just awesome.

So immature. No way to treat another human being.

I'll make an exception for Kesler though. I can't stand Kesler.

I was actually hoping the Ducks would advance into the 2nd, maybe even into the 3rd round, for hockey pool reasons, but today I feel ever so relieved that they lost in the 1st round.
