I'm not even going to follow it tonight. Not worth the spike in my blood pressure with this garbage pitching on the mound.
They should be trading Dickey for anything they can get and dumping Thole as soon as possible.

So I said I wasn't going to follow, but my app told me they had two men on so I did, just in time to see Thole strike out. Wish I hadn't of done that, because i'm super angry now. Dickey sucks and his personal catcher even further screws the team.

Having a garbage 5th starter is one thing. Also having a boat anchor personal catcher is a kick in the nuts too.

With the way Stroman, Sanchez, Estrada and Happ are pitching, the Jays probably would have been better off not taking the option on Dickey.
Maybe he'll turn it around like last season.

Edwin's line drive into Jimenez's glove and Donaldson hitting the ball right to Adam Jones are signs the Jays aren't very lucky yet.
Edit: Yay! Some luck!

Maybe but i highly doubt it.
The guy eats innings like very few in baseball and that saves other arms.
With the loss of Buerhle I think thats even more important this year than last.
Not to mention he was 23rdin ERA in the AL among starters which is pretty damn good.
he has been a slow starter for a while and its likely as it warms up, so will he and that knuckle ball will dance a bit more. If/when that happens he will be a really important piece once again.

How is he a really important piece even if he gets his pitch back? He's 100% unreliable. You can't send him up there in any game that matters because you are always one inning away from potentially the other team hanging 5-6 runs on you.
That said, I actually didn't mind them picking up Dickey's option so that he could eat innings away at a reasonable price, but that was on the assumption that Josh Thole would be long again. Dickey is now a double negative.

he has had an era over 4 once in the last 6 years...so thats complete hyperbole.
I get that he has struggled thus far...but its game friggin 16 of the season. Give it some time and its probable, like in years past, he finds his groove and gives them a bunch of innings.
As for Thole..yeah i dont like him much either but you cant have Martin playing every game either.

After that rocky start, Dickey registers the quality start with 6 IP and just the 3 ER. Nice to see!
