No, only that he probably was replaced after the Buran was destroyed.
We don't know for sure that the mirror Michael is dead.
My gut though, Jason Isaacs is the type of guy that won't come back without a really good reason. Lorca is dead all the way through, probably the mirror Lorca tossed him out an airlock, and evil Michael is dead.
There's a finality to the way they ended the story arc. The Imperial Flag ship is blown up. The Emperor thrown down. There's really no reason to go back.
Isaac's probably wasn't cheap to get either.
Like I said, never say never, but there just doesn't seem to be a reason to bring Lorca back if they're going to develop Michael.

Thanks, I think you are probably correct in your analysis.
Although the show isn't bad, I find the writing, especially the leaps in logic, a little hard to take at times.
If they get renewed, hopefully they clean things up.

When we follow the development history for the show, how Bryan Fuller first envisioned the show - as a anthology type thing where each season is a different crew/ship/story/era, and then the years of production delays, Fuller jumping out the airlock (or getting pushed out by CBS) and all the drama...
This all makes sense.
Nobody knows what the hell they are doing. The probably spent a ton of time and money developing the Klingon sets/costumes and storyline for whatever the original story was...but then they did an about face and decided to scrap it for another thing but had to shoehorn it in. Then they decided to go insane and be all BSG and make it gritty and kill everyone and use the Mirror universe to do it...
And now we have a nonsensical show truely going where no Trek has gone before where it's just a crazy ride trying to shock the audience at every turn.

So I was talking to a friend of mine over lunch and we started spinning what could happen
1) Remember at the end of World War 2 when the American's and Russians' rushed to recruit german scientists. The American's called theirs operation paperclip and recruited the top rocket guy on the planet in Werner Von Braun. Well this takes it further. Michael basically recruited Hitler, actually she recruited a fusion of Hitler/Stalin and Mao. They are suddenly and I'm talking about the writers and directors, actually maybe going to ask us to believe that a combination of Hitler/Stalin and Mao can become a hero.
2) So now that Georgiou is back, and the powers that be have no clue about the mirror universe, what stops Michael from going back to what's left of the Federation and presenting her former captain and saying, "see my captains not dead", and Georgiou testifying/lying that somehow this was part of a convoluted plan to gather intelligence on the Klingons. So with a double lie, Michael goes free.
3) When does Stamets ascend to god hood. I mean he saved the plants, and with the Spore drive probably a no go, the Discovery really doesn't need a ecto-biologist or whatever he is.
4) You'd think that Saru is going to have a permanent fear afro whenever the former Empress is in the same room.
5) Ok, so here's the deal. The Klingon's have won, they're probably going to ask George (screw it, I'm going to call her George) to help fight a war against the Klingons in a more ruthless way. So not only are they asking Hitler/Stalin/Mao to join their side, but to probably abandon the principles of the Federation to win this war, because George ain't going to be throwing kittens at them.

Star Trek - New Series January 2017
Georgiou being alive doesn’t necessarily absolve Michael of much. Michael was still responsible for a lot of deaths at the battle of the binary stars.
Georgiou would have to take the blame for much of that for Michael to go free.

One thing that they dropped that I wish they didn't. They had a contingency of security troops wearing black comm badges. They pointed it out in the first episode of discovery as one of the prisoners mentioned that he'd never seen it before, and it pointed to a secret department like section 31, and they never mentioned it again.
I really loved Section 31 when they bought it into DS9, a secret intelligent organization with the mission of doing anything to ensure the security of the federation and not bound by the principles of the federation and not having any over sight.
It was a cool idea that kind of made the discovery more then a Star Fleet vessel.
For any of you that followed Wing Commander, in the 4th game the enemy was the Black Lance a similar organization that wanted to secure the future of mankind by any means necessary including genetic engineering and eugenics to jump start mans evolution so they could survive the next threat.

The only thing I disagree with.
Every time the guy opens his mouth I roll my eyes.
Yes, it was a nice little Easter Egg for the super fans to repeat "No-Win Scenario" a bunch of times but it had no place in the episode; especially since the actual solution was obviously winnable with a few punches, a torpedo and regular warp drive.
I hope Saru is not made captain. He's the worst.
One positive: I do love the fact they got rid of the ridiculous holographic communications all of the time.

I assumed the Lorca's switched places like with Mirror Kirk etc.
I also kind of thought it was before the destruction of the Buran and he lost the ship twice.
Thus another bunch of plot holes I have a big problem with:
Bad Lorca switches with Good Lorca then what - he learns that he has to love stale fortune cookies, had a stormy past relationship with an admiral and hide all of his racist tendencies to every single non human he meets?
And if he arrived after the destruction of the Buran he suddenly has to tell everyone he has light sensitivity due to something that happened months before?

Clearly, Sliver lives in the Mirror Universe. That explains so much.
