Draft Pick
They are out shooting everyone, just can't get the puck in the net. They don't crash enough to get all juicy rebounds these goalies are giving up.
Grant is the best guy on the team when he's on the ice. Able to control and hold the puck even when being checked. Looks like Joe Thornton sometimes.
Poirier just disappears a lot, then all of a sudden he turns the speed on and is wide open to the net. Just not able to put it away.
Our PBP guy is hysterical, but in a good way. Maybe a littler less when they're down 6-3 and score maybe???

He's big, strong and THE force on the ice for the Heat.

Ortio pulled after 3 minutes, then put back in for the 3rd where he was solid and shut the door, then won it in a SO.
Will be interesting to see how he follows that up today

Grant gets a breakaway and beats Brossoit to give the Heat an early 1-0 lead over the filthy, dirty Condors

Austin Carroll destroys some guy named Christopher with a clean hit, who decides to fight Carroll in retaliation. So Carroll beat the living crap out of him.

Kassian (yes, that Kassian) bangs in a rebound to tie the game. No blame on Ortio - he made the first two saves.
1-1

Kinda crazy Ottawa didn't qualify him. I really like what he showed at the NHL level for a bottom 6 guy.

1-1 after one.
Poirier and Smith were noticeable.
Kyllington is taking a regular shift with Nakladal and they look like the best pairing. Kyllington had a really strong period - his defensive play has come a long, long way

Poulin is listed as the backup. I assume he's good to go now?

Sounds like it.
Darren Haynes @DarrenWHaynes:
Kevin Poulin back in uniform for Stockton. Was injured six weeks ago and underwent surgery on a dislocated kneecap.

1-1mafter 2. IMO, the Heat have been the better team and have had more quality chances so far.

Does the PBP guy work from a sound proof booth? It must be distracting to anyone nearby at the game.
