The most satisfying drama will be seeing the Ducks lose

Haha thank goodness indeed. I was trying to find exciting things about a Tampa Anaheim series and didn't think of that one. My only thought was that the series would determine the best expansion team of the 90s.

Chicago in the final going for their 2nd cup in 3 years and 3rd in 6 going against a young upcoming team will be much more intriguing.

It's silly as at the end of the day wether you swing the leg or direct it forward like Hossa did you are still purposely scoring a goal with your skate. This should be black and white as they have made this rule like the NFL catch rule where they make excuses not to call it a catch just like they are making excuses here for him directing the puck into the net via skate with a forward motion.

In soccer that's a kick so I fail to see how it's not a kick in the NHL.

This is nice.

I don't mind the Ducks all that much, and the Hawks have won enough......but then when you factor in that Kesler is a Duck?

Yeah, get him away from the Cup.

I don't know what to tell you other than he directed it with his skate, but there is no kicking motion. At least that's what I see.

Not distinct and definitely not enough to overturn the call on the ice. All he did was turn his skate IMO

I agree the kicking rule needs to be changed since at the moment it seems like what defines a kick is subject to random judgement calls in the war room. The rule should be black and white allowing the war room to make a quick decision and the fans to understand the ruling.

I would like to see the direction the puck is heading considered in the review. If the puck is heading towards the net and a skate changes its direction then count the goal. However if the puck is heading away from the net and the skate caused the puck to reverse directions then no goal.

Hey! The NHL is going to get it right! No more compensation needed for teams hiring fired management.

I'm pretty sure the judgement call is whether or not the skate is lifted from the ice. They've been pretty consistent with that.

They did themselves in with their own playing style tonight. Way too many plays where they tried to go for the big hit rather than the puck. That might work against a less experienced team like Calgary but doesn't against Chicago.

What a terrible series of events for Cam Fowler. Should have rifled it on net, instead goes for a dipsy doodle around Hossa, turns it over and then hooks the Hawks player the whole way back, guaranteeing a penalty call.

The Ducks were shot down four times so far, it looks like they are trying to fly again. Exciting finish coming up!
