I wouldn't hate signing Hiller, depending on term and value, of course, but I'd kinda rather sign Chad Johnson. I know Johnson is, for all intents and purposes, completely unproven, but he's 4 years younger, a Calgary kid, and I am firmly planted in the 'tank now' camp.

If Glencross doesn't fetch you at least a decent 1st rounder, don't trade him.

Again our cap space value goes up when teams lose the compliance buyout options.

Teams to target for extortion: Obviously Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, but I really think we should lean on Carolina, 1.6mil/player opening. New Jersey, 2.1mil/opening. As I think they're both going to suck, and the resultant picks we get for taking salary would end up being good ones.

If Jersey goes after Cammalleri, it'll reduce their options even more, could we get a 1st rounder for taking Dainius Zubrus?

Any moves (if any) that improve the significantly bad teams today will be a blessing. Heck even Edmonton signing a free agent or two could be good news, it's not like that'll make much difference for them in the standings anyway. But any improvements to Edmonton, Ottawa, Carolina, Florida, Buffalo etc could be beneficial. Although out of the bad teams it looks like Buffalo and Ottawa have no plans to do anything other than tanking this year.
