“Filip [Peliwo], who won the boy’s singles title, and I got a picture with Roger. He came up and we expected him to take a picture and leave. But we took the picture, and he [starting talking to us]. ‘Congrats, you guys. What’s next? What’s your pro ranking?’ He was asking about what we’re doing. And I told him I’m playing all these tournaments, and I’m No. 300. And he’s said, ‘When I won Junior Wimbledon, I was No. 300 as well.’ And I was like, ‘That’s a sign – it’s meant to be!’’
Awesome!!!

The Following User Says Thank You to GirlySports For This Useful Post:
With Federer's withdrawl, MILOS is seeded 16. He get's a 1st round bye and a possible 3rd round match against new Gold Medalist Andy Murray on Wednesday.
Maybe Murray will celebrate hard for the next few days and show up in Toronto hungover!

Anyone who's read this thread knows I cheer against him only because he's Roger's kryptonite, but honestly I've missed having him around this summer. With the other guys in the big 4 you might not get their best effort sometimes due to nerves, confidence or whatever (see Wimbledon/Olympics semis and finals). With Rafa, you might not like his weird rituals, slow rate of play, etc. but the one thing you can bank on is he'll play like his life depended on it. If someone wants to beat him, they basically have to take the match from his cold, dead hands.
I would have liked to see how this newfangled Murray would match up against a healthy, relentless Rafa. But if he's not gonna be around, hopefully they seed USO just like the Olympics and make Murray prove himself by going through Djoker and Roger again.
Murray might want to cash in a major at the US Open. Totally different ballgame when he was to go through Nadal. Hopefully Nadal can get himself right for the start of next year, don't really see the point in rushing back now.

Raonic vs. Isner tonight in the quarters at the Rogers Cup. Go Milos! The other quarter in his bracket is Fish vs Gasquet.... If Milos can find a way to win tonight he should have a solid chance in the semi. Isner has already played 3 sets this morning so if there's ever going to be a time to make a masters final it's this weekend.
