Phil Simms: "Sanchez will play better today than the last time he was here"

Way to go out on a limb! That's why you get paid the big bucks!

Would shock me if Cutler outplays Rodgers, as I think Cutler was very lucky he didn't throw that 1st quarter interception or the game would've turned out a fair bit different.

IMO, this gave him a false sense of security. A big play, and making plays against a Seattle defense who's secondary was used to giving up those 8-12 yard plays game in and game out all year, and not having a legitimate run stopper up the middle, didn't prove anything to me.
I'm sure that beating a flat out inferior team didn't give them a false sense of security. Especially given the fact that they have played Rogers twice this year already, and did quite well against him. I think the Bears are very aware of how good Green Bay can be, and I expect they will be very prepared for Rodgers and the GB offense.

LOL Folk misses from 30 yards. Why couldn't that have happened last week?

Nothing Rex Ryan can say when his FG kicker misses from 30!

Could you overturn that if it was challenged?

Jets get a huge defensive play. Then follow that up by a run for a loss, a pass for a loss and then a run on 3rd down. Miss a 30 yard field goal...get a big sack but nullify it by a facemask. Simply can't make these mistakes against the Pats.

Jets did a pretty good job of limiting it to a FG by New England.

3-0 Patriots.

Talking about Cutler in particular getting a false sense, not the team.

A blown coverage (not Milloy, should've had safety help) and then extremely lucky not to be intercepted on the goal line for a pick 6, and, recovering a fumble he made later in the second quarter. Seattle had some chances to get that ball, got to him 3 times in the first half. He recovered, and took advantage in the second half, as most did the season, of a soft zone covering defense and a team unable to stuff the run.

He survived in the end but can't play like that against too many teams and expect the same success is my opinion.

I believe you can, although on the closer look it was a miss.

He wasn't last week either. He might eventually be a solid QB, but he isn't that great right now. Jets have a ton of weapons on offense. They have the running game with LT and Greene. Also Holmes, Cotchery, Keller, Edwards etc....... With a better QB, they would be really scary.

Ok, fair enough. I can understand getting into the head of Cutler. Which I think can easily see happening. However I do think he played a great game, and minus the one gaff which would have been the babineux pick. He ran the offense almost flawlessly today.
