Bumping this one. Wow, 8 years since this thread was started now. Time sure flies...
Rovers with a very outside chance of automatic promotion this season. 2nd in the league and need to win their last three matches. Macclesfield have to not win either of their last two. Tall order but, hey, there’s a chance!
The Rovers started the season vey poorly but have been very impressive for a while now. If only they started the season even averagely they would have walked it this season.
Ah well, the trials and tribulations of supporting a team live Tranmere. I love them regardless. Always have.
My ‘other’ team, Liverpool are doing ok too...
Greeting to all of you. It’s been a while. Girly, Locke et al. Hope you’re doing well....

Nice seeing you around again. Cant have too many Liverpool fans around...
Life. You know how it is.....
5 kids. Work. Stuff.
I've lurked a bit now and then but not posted anything.
Loving our Liverpool team. Pretty excited at the direction they're taking. Haven't been this pumped since the 80's when I used to watch Kenny and Rushie, then Barnes, Beardsley, Aldo. (Geez, I'm old!)
Liking the Rovers right now too. This (non) league division is such a tough one to get out of.
Tranmere for the 2nd year in a row finish 2nd in the Vanarama National League. Unfortunately only the top team gets automatic promotion.
There are 6 teams in the playoffs this year. 4th plays and 7th and 5th plays 6th in first round with the winners to play 2nd and 3rd. All 1 game knockouts at the higher seeded teams stadium until the final which is at Wembley.
#2 Tranmere Rovers
#3 Sutton United
#4 Boreham Wood
#5 Aldershot Town
#6 Ebbsfleet United
#7 Fylde
Incredibly delighted and relieved in equal measure. Typical Rovers doing things the hard way.
Man sent off in the first minute
Score. Player hit with a bottle and has be be subbed later.
Use all three subs before half time
Opposing team scores in the 8th minute of 6 minutes of injury time.
Yet, still the 10 men battle through and get a late winner.
Thrilled for them.
What heroes....
Riddeaugh should buy all of the drinks tonight. He owes the boys, big time..,
I don't come on CP much these days, but I came here today specifically for this thread.
Doesn't seem too long ago that Tranmere were top of League 1, battling it out with little old Bournemouth, amongst others.
Congrats Tranmere, it's not always easy coming back into the league from the "Vauxhall Conference" (one for the kids there).
Onwards and upwards - best of luck in League 2 next season!
Cheers Rich.
It's been such a tough time for the Rovers in recent years. Yet they still have an incredibly loyal following that literally have followed them through thick and, mostly, thin. The "Super White Army" as they are called deserve this success like nothing else. They're incredible supporters.
Off topic, I like Bournemouth. I like the way the team plays and look for their results in the Prem. Happy when they win, except against Liverpool of course. Glad they survived with relative ease this season.....
