I would totally watch a TV series tracking the fall of the Horizon old world and Elon, I mean Ted Faro.
When they announced a Horizon move, I was hoping we could see the lead up to the world instead. Hopefully that movie can be successful as I like your idea... get a TLOU series showing the lead up to Zero Dawn.
For people above, I enjoyed Forbidden West, but also agree, not as good a story as the first one. But gorgeous game, combat was fun, and I look forward to the next one in the series.
Cocoon looks pretty cool. Same developers behind Inside and Limbo.
“Same developers as Inside and Limbo” isn’t quite correct though — the gameplay lead from those games is the gameplay lead on this one, but it’s a different overall developer.
Playdead (the developers of Limbo and Inside) are long in production on a new game they haven’t fully shown yet.
Started playing Baldur's Gate 3 (PS5) last week and my god is this game incredible. Only just passed Act 1 and already over 30 hours of gameplay. And I'm already thinking about different strats to try out on a second play-through. I've been recommending it to all of my gamer friends. 10/10
Also should note - I had no experience with D&D/how it plays prior to playing BG3. That was something I was on the fence about before starting the game, but it clicked for me pretty quickly. I've actually found that I enjoy the turn-based combat, as I don't have to worry as much about giving the game my full attention in the evenings when I'm tired or doing other things on my computer etc.

I wish I enjoyed anything with D&D or turn based but I despise turn based. That's after over 50 hours in XCOM 1 and 2.
I also completely forgot that a portion of BG3 has been in early access since 2020. Good on Larian for getting the game into gamers hands early and getting all the issues ironed out for an great release.

I am the exact opposite, I can't stand action RPG. Give me thoughtful strategy over button mashing any day.
One of the things I love about BG3 is that stats matter. You can skip phases of fights or even entire fights depending on your successes in your conversational rolls.
I played a Ranger the first time around, with an abyssmal CHA. Combined with some bad roll luck, I had to fight EVERYTHING.
Next time around, I played a Bard. High CHA and luck in the rolls. You can talk half of Act 2 into not fighting or even killing itself for you. And all of the ways net you the same XP, so you don't have to go murderhobo. Pretty good work on their part.

If you're burnt out on Diablo but still have that ARPG itch to scratch I'd recommend Last Epoch. It's still in early access on Steam, but there's a ton of content in it and they're planning on a full release before the end of the year. It borrows a lot from older games like D2 and Titan Quest, and the time travel component is pretty cool, very similar to Chrono Trigger

Well this old dinosaur has finally modernized in the sense of starting to prefer digital over physical games.
Picking up the new Assassins Creed tomorrow, I've bought some old digital games off the PlayStation store when they've had deals, but I've never done it for a full price, new release. Is there any disadvantage to getting digital over physical, that perhaps I'm not aware of?

I feel like these are the main reasons you'd want to go physical:
- You want to trade in the game later when you're done with it
- You want to have it on your console forever in case they de-list the game or the online store disappears in the future
Otherwise for the average person, buying digital isn't a big deal IMO. When they announce online stores are closing for a system, I just browse through my purchases and make sure I have everything I want saved on the console before it dies. There's a good chance I won't desperately want every game I purchased.
You really won't save hard drive space playing off a disc anymore. Most new games are required to be installed onto the system anyway.

Thanks dude, didn't even think of the resell option, that's true. But I never seem to do that anyways haha. Good to know! Yeah think I'll just get digital
For me the resell is a big feature. There are very few games that I will go back and play once I beat it so I sell them when I am done.
Now if a digital download was cheaper than the physical version, that would change my opinion.

Speaking of digital games, Diablo coming to steam Oct 17. Too bad I didn't wait to play it on a steamdeck nevermind the hope for the widespread fixes that are still needed.
EDIT: No way that the Battle.net purchase carries over I guess lol.
