Man, with the crappy start the Blues have gotten off on I would love to find a way to get Tarasenko. Instant problem solved on needing another top 9 forward and can you imagine what he could do with Huby dishing him the puck? Can't see how to make it work salary wise though.

Yeah, Tarasenko may be a realistic trade deadline add when we've got $5-$6mil in cap space. But then that would require the Blues to still be sucking and out of the playoff race. Here's to hoping!

I guess it's time for the annual rumor mongering about Josh Anderson, an ongoing thing since 2018. Maybe if they didn't have Coleman, Lucic, Ritchie etc already. Do they really want to add another 5.5 million in cap until 2027 for a mid producer

Josh Anderson is more of what we don’t need.

Mushy middle-6 forwards is what we’re already buried in. Flames also can’t afford Anderson next year without losing more or less the same amount of dollars Anderson gets paid. So who would we sacrifice for the mighty Josh Anderson?

If Dube doesn't start earning his keep, J.Andersen is the kind of player Tree would swap in. Only Issue zi have with J.Andersen is injury history. He's just never gets a full head of steam in a season.

What I mean is, Dube could find himself in the trade that brings Andersen in if he doesn't get going.

Kadri has been dragging his two line mates for a week or two now.

I wouldn't touch Anderson's contract with a 10 foot pole and I don't think he would fix any of this team's problems anyhow.

He's a way higher cap hit than Dube and not much of an upgrade.

Josh Anderson is the new Chris Stewart. We need to wait until he’s really at the end of his career before the rumour of him becoming a flame finally comes true

And what are the Habs adding to that albatross contract? That’s a horrible trade for Calgary. Dube is what he is, a middle 6 forward getting paid what he’s worth.

What we need is another playmaking winger. When you have Mangiapane, Lindholm, Toffoli, and Kadri all good at shooting the puck, you need a playmaking winger other than Huberdeau. Having Gaudreau and Huberdeau would’ve been nice for a season, but we of course could only fit in one.

I think Anderson would do well on Calgary, but the contract is tremendously burdensome, and because of this, Anderson should have considerable negative value.

I told my brother about the Salim speculation and he told me about a tweet saying Hubey for Dach and Andersen.

The Flames are not moving Huby after just acquiring him and long term extending him.

And if they were, it wouldn't be for those 2. Unless they want to also give us our 1st back, plus this year's 1st

on HNIC

Chabot injury may accelerate Ottawa's search for a defencemen but they don't want to make a desperation trade.

a lot of players still have partial No trades into Canada making it difficult for Canadian teams to make a trade

Friedman says the Flames have been looking for a scoring forward since August but doesn't think anything is pressing right now

St. Louis might be the team to keep an eye on

Not a new rumor but during the 2nd intermission of the Leafs-Canucks game, Friedman mentioned that he believes the Flames are looking for a scoring forward, but added that they've been looking in the market since August, so to me, it doesn't sound like he's heard anything new or recent. He can see something happening in St. Louis soon given their slump. He DID NOT say this was related to the Flames looking for a forward - that St. Louis note just happened to come after his bit on the Flames, and ended his segment.

I like Anderson the player, I hate his contract. Too many years left

Cap is tight for everyone. Finding a scoring forward would be really easy if there was cap space for teams to wiggle with.

As a Flames fan, Montreal is on my no trade with list. We've been fleeced my them too much lately. It's like they have incriminating pictures of Treliving or something.

Well you know they are going shopping for a winger in the off season if they don't get one in season. Could be scary.

I would only take Anderson with multiple first-round picks attached. That contract is awful.
