Was the same downtown, but dark looking clouds are rolling in over Lilac Fest. We'll see what happens..

Can confirm the dirt. I was in my garage, it was warm, then the wind suddenly picked up. Garage was filled with a fine coating of dirt soon afterward.

I heard the conditions were right to see Northern Lights tonight! I hope the clouds clear up soon.

It was probably dirt, but there is some familiar and ominous scent in the air today.

In Calgary? I don't sense any smoke yet.

I didn't think it was that chilly today, but it looks like I might need to turn the furnace back on tonight.

You could smell it this morning. But the haze was minimal. Back to normal this afternoon.

The smog can stay far, far away for at least another month. Please and thank you

I'll gladly take weekly rain to keep it away.

My sniffer is picking up some wildfire smoke tonight. Air quality readings seem fine, but it is unmistakably that familiar smell.

That northern AB/SK fire smoke has steered around us for the most part, but affected a lot of the rest of the province.

We've been fortunate. Even though no major fires are near us, all that smoke from up north unfortunately has to travel somewhere. Thank goodness we've retained relatively clear skies.

Starting our Silent Hill season this early would be depressing.

Even though it is not in style anymore, trust in technology and the array of PurpleAir sensors that people set up all around the world to measure real time air quality:

That was the loudest thunder I've heard in a long time, happened almost instantly after the lightning too... strong enough to set off the neighbors car alarm while his car was in the garage.
