And because Calgary votes are still at stake.
She knows Edmonton is a lost cause. The funny part is Kaycee Madu is constantly licking her butt cheeks but her brand of politics is the final nail in the coffin for that buffoon. And he doesn't even know it.

Wonder what their handshake was like?
In NDP news: Had some NDP canvassers stop by last night, and I had to unfortunately turn them away as we were sitting down for dinner. But I took their pamphlet and quickly told them "I hope you win in the next election" and the look of surprise was both entertaining and concerning.
Entertaining, as seeing both their faces light up put a smile on my face. Concerning, because I wonder if they've been getting little support on the trail. Or could have been surprise because they assumed I was turning them away due to being a UCP supporter.
Anyways; cool story bro.

I think it's the latter. Usually the acronym that comes out of their mouth is the beginning and end of the conversation for many.

Hope you get a big sign and maybe work on a few of those neighbours. Four more years of the UCP, and with Danielle Smith in charge? I can't even fathom what abominations they will come up with if given another mandate.

Why would a conservative be advocating for the corporate subsidy of a hockey team?

Community, she doesn’t want to see them become the Quebec Flames.

Yoho isn't a conservative, they're a mouthpiece for whatever is masquerading as the current United Conservative Party, some strange blend of fascism and irredentism with a made up past reality.

The funny thing is that Quebec is probably the only place the Flames could move where I would still cheer for them.

It’s odd how far that is out of alignment with the rest of the UCP policy regarding communities which in general highlight individual choice when it comes to spending government funds.
It fits much closer to the subsidize corporations model like the proposed new abandoned well programs.

Where best should the government spend it's funds? Subsidizing a new arena for the Flames or putting the same funds into health care?

I am just glad that Springsteen is coming to Calgary. I heard Calgary misses all the big acts because they don’t have an arena.

Haven't you guys figured it out? He doesn't have a political slant. He has a Danielle slant. He just parrots everything Dani does. Except parrots actually feel shame.

If it’s a question of burning the money or putting the same funds into health care I would burn it. Health care is communism at its core, they might even use those funds for better education and book reading is a sin. /Yoho

Yoho’s answer would probably depend on whether or not that type of health care is public or private.

I don’t like that question. It’s not an or. It’s should the money be spent on an arena or should that money be left in the hands of businesses and individuals through lower taxes.
Whether or not health care is a good idea or bad idea does not change the value of said arena. The government can collect marginally more or less revenue without significant impact so funding decisions should be evaluated on the independent merits of each proposal and not an OR or which is better basis.
Also your biased because you have your high health care year’s in front of you and your arena going years behind you.

I was a poorly worded question on my part. I was trying to say that Smith is trying to buy votes and will do whatever it takes to help her get her a win. For me it's a question of her motives.

It's true that i'm heading into my senior years where I could need more health care, but that's not my reason for my original question. I want a properly funded health care so everyone, regardless of age can get the care they need, and in a timely fashion. I don't want health care short changed due to some arena funding.
