Even the game tracker on NHL.com routinely mixes up players' positions while they're on the ice. For instance, I've seen it showing Kadri on the wing and Kuzmenko at centre. I suspect the people in charge are only concerned with getting the line combinations right, and don't care if the positions on each line are wrong.

While normally that could be true, Knoblauch has confirmed his apparent genius. Even better, he'll rotate mid-game. Harder for him to give away pucks if the opposition doesn't know what side to expect him on.

When a player is struggling with the finer points of defensive play, the cerebral answer is to have them split their time between the left and right s, that way the errors they commit on each side will cancel each other out.

I don't think it will be by design, Nurse just ends up flailing all over the place naturally.

yeah for the supposed deepest group of forwards in the cap era the 3rd line is a 32 year old, a 37 year old and a 30 year old with a combined total of 2 career 20 goal seasons, the most recent being 4 years ago

It’s the goalie’s fault.

A master at play, just look at his motivation of nurse's best partner ever....

In the postgame media avail, Knoblauch addressed a question from The Athletic’s Daniel Nugent-Bowman surrounding the play of Emberson. “Like a lot of our guys, he was just kind of there. Not positive or negative.”

Where does that put the young defenceman? Sixth or seventh, a far cry from the preseason talk of the second pairing.

Ok, you guys win an argument I wasn’t even making. Congrats. My only point again, is that judging one’s character by the hockey team they cheer for is plain stupid, and it says a lot more about the person saying it, than it does about any hockey fan they’re slighting.

Whenever the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Oilers it reminds me of the time they beat them in the Stanley Cup Finals. Then Chris Pronger demanded a trade from the Oilers after only one season. The following years were quite bleak. Lol.

Can we say they have poor taste?
What if someone's five favourite hockey players were the guys who have been charged with sexual assault? Would that say anything about that fan's character? What if Lawrence Phillips and O.J. Simpson were an NFL fan's two favourite running backs of all time?
Is it that surprising that fans around the league look down on a team that employs Nicholson, Bowman, Perry, Kane when everyone knows they have a checkered past? They did not hesitate to bring any of them in when most teams wouldn't go near them.
