You're doing a "both sides" strawman argument. Republicans HAVE had child molesters win primaries, who's the worst Democrat that has won their primary? One party is still somewhat rational and filters out the worst of the bunch in their primaries, the other party goes all-in regardless of what ####ed up morally reprehensible #### a candidate has done

Do you know what these words mean?
Because “you shouldn’t vote in pedophiles and murderers just because they wear the right colours” is neither of those things.

That's not a straw man argument,, that's a hypothetical. A straw man would be saying something like "if you vote Republican, you are a homophobe!" or "voting Democrat is murdering babies!".
I wouldn't call it an especially likely hypothetical, though. Suspected sex offenders, grifters, thieves, pious hypocrites - all these get elected, but convicted pedophiles and atheists* don't make it through the primaries.

Not all republicans are homophobes but I would lay good money out that all homophobes vote Republican

I’d take that bet. Prop 8 shattered that belief for me. Dumb religion

If a convicted pedophile won a Democratic primary, then I guess I would just give up all hope.
I'd have a much different line for a position with real individual power that we'd be counting on to govern and have sound judgement like a governor or president. A senator is just a glorified proxy voter at the moment.

The US senate is a completely outdated and broken branch right now. The fact that Wisconsin has the same voting power as New York or California is absurd. Right now the senate is split 50/50, yet Democratic senators represent almost 40 million more people than republicans. It's tyranny of the minority, and it's only going to get worse

That was the intent of the Senate. The bigger problem is that the electoral college and gerrymandering can stack all 3 levels in favor of the minority.

The child molestor lost in Alabama of all places so it isn’t really both sidings it as some republicans appeared to have a line.

There is no fix either. Things just are going to just getting crazier until we don't recognize the world any more

If I was American I’d be a single-issue voter. The issue would be to defeat Trump, every Trump supporter, election denier and fascist.

That's a respectable position. That's why what I brought up about the Dems helping the hardcore MAGAs win primaries was so awful to me.

Ignore cost of living sky rocketing, crime uncontrollable to be another drone yelling at a made up enemy on tv.
Clinton already saying the election will be stolen, will you be upset when she election denies?
Fascist? you have all the buzz words parroted by the media.
We need more free independent thinkers.
Get the economy in tract instead of focusing on enemies of the state.

Those are reasonable points. Can you show me your sources? As some of that is new information to me, and I'd like to take it in so I can freely and independently form my opinion.

A few quick points:
1. That video doesn't address with the cost of living
2. That video doesn't address with the crime rate
3. That video doesn't have Clinton saying the election will be stolen.
4. That video doesn't address Clinton denying the election.
5. That video doesn't address facsim
6. That video doesn't address the economy
The video does have Clinton saying that Republicans will enact laws to have legislatures and not the electorate determine how a State's electoral votes will be awarded, and talks about the dangers of that. To which, I agree. If Trump wins California, no way in hell should Newsome be able to say "naw, those votes are going to Biden".
To my knowledge:
1. Inflation is a global problem, saying Biden can solve it is like saying Trudeau or Kenney can. They can help mitigate but really it's too large an issue. POTUS needs support from Senate and House and the state legislatures to really be effective with such a complex problem.
2. Voilent cime rate went up in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and down in 2021. Again a complex problem but it has gone down on Biden's watch.
3 & 4. There's only ever been one President deny an election result and only one Preisdent where there was not a peaceful transition of power. There may be more in the future. But Clinton accepted election results of every election she was in, including the losses. Given her track record I'd want to see video of her actually saying that, otherwise to quote her husband "No sir, I'll read your record".
5. Fasicm isn't just a buzz word, are you familiar with what it actually is? If so, what do you think it is, I'm happy to discuss but need to know we're on the same page with regard to the topic itself.
6. US economy is complex, like fascism, need a definition to discuss. Stock market, jobs, inflation, what? How are we gauging it?
