Does anyone else got the email about their Xbox Gold subscription being changed in the future, it seems a lot worse or am I wrong?
Depending on how many months you have on your subscription, or whether you intend to keep using it, you could consider doing the "trick" of converting Gold months to Gamepass Ultimate. It used to be a 1:1 conversion, but recently downgraded to roughly 3:2.
Depends, what do you have now and what was it saying you were going to be switched to?
I remember reading this and thinking that I was wrong that Microsoft could make things more confusing than the XBO S/X vs XB series S/X situation.
Then they introduced the game pass conundrum into the equation... Also, wait till you try to buy it and find out ultimate is the only version that's easily accessible and that it's annoying hard to find some of those other versions in certain situations.
We tried to surprise someone with a gamepass subscription, but after a ton of probing questions, we just decided to give them cash to figure it out (She gamed with both console and PC and we couldn't find any place to buy core to send it to her). It turns out, she was anti-paying for gamepass anyways.
So I got cyberpunk at everyone’s behest and it’s not bad. Still a glitch filled #### show that crashes more than any game I’ve played before and has game breaking bugs that force me to go back to previous saves far too often but fun. Me and my gorilla arms are face punching everyone who doesn’t immediately die from spreadable quickhacks, fun fun. Definitely went from an enjoyable difficulty to “I’m an unstoppable god” very quickly though
You playing on last-gen? On XSX I have not had a single crash, let alone significant glitch, other than some voice overs speaking on top of each other. Runs perfectly smooth without any kind of technical issue.

PS5. Guess it can’t compete with the raw processing power of Microsoft Ż\_(ツ)_/Ż
Blizzard continues to disappoint, yet it is always unsurprising how far their greed will go.
Things are only worth what people are willing to pay...I don't get why everyone makes a big deal out of these. If you don't like it, don't spend the money and move on. Better yet, if you play the game and don't like the micro-transactions stop playing.
It is one of the main reasons BG3 is doing so well. People buying it to support the old game model.

I don't play it, but that doesn't mean that I'm not allowed to express my disgust for their greedy practices. I used to love Blizzard but nowadays it's all about the money.
BG3 is fantastic though, so agreed there.

Wooooo, UC: The Lost Legacy showed up today, about to start playing. Thank maude, because I've now played TLOU2 on every mode except the permadeath one, which isn't going to happen - needed something else to play, lol.

Ohhh, enjoy!
I wonder if you might be up/ready for something like Elden Ring when you are done that. You've been on quite the tear!

So, I mentioned Elden Ring to both my sons and my daughter and got "Noooooooooo."
The girl found the Tomb Raider stuff on the library site, so she requested that for me. It's not showing as shipped, so I should have a bit of time to get into Legacy.

For people who have made some progress in BG3 and put some hours in, how does it compare to DOS2?

I think Switch in general was late to the party, photon posted about how much he enjoyed Tunic back in March... of 2022.
I enjoyed it too, it's basically a Zelda game but with a Fox cosplaying Link.
I've seen this comparison quite a bit I guess because, visually, there are a number of similarities. But gameplay-wise it is very different than any Zelda game and plays like an isometric Dark Souls (with the challenge to match).

I only played maybe 10 hours of DOS2 and it never really sunk its teeth into me like BG3. I'm almost done Act 1 in BG3 and keep craving more. Seems like a more refined DOS2 to me with DnD rules. I honestly love running around with my virtual D20 in the game doing checks on things.
