Baby Driver was a lot of fun. Great soundtrack.

Tetris was great too.

We had our Super Mario Bros. movie...

Spoiler!

The message I got from that movie was less self-loathing and more an appeal to be genuine.

Finally got around to GotG vol 3. Can't say I was a fan at all after enjoying the first two movies. I was very surprised to see it has an 80+ rating on IMDB and rotten tomatoes.

The movie seemed very forced to me and the serious, overly emotional tone didn't lend itself to any of the characters imo.

Late to the party but Oppenheimer was amazing. It's really the kind of movie that doesn't get made anymore, OR it gets made and audiences ignore it. Thankfully Christopher Nolan left WB and fought for his movie to not be just dumped onto a streaming platform as content but rather to be seen in theatres as cinema. 30 years from now, a new generation of film goers will watch this movie and be blown away like I was, it's a timeless film.

Just watched Soylent Green. 50 years ago it was the future, today it feels like a documentary.

Why? Why would anyone want that?

You can get that already with phone alerts. You dont need it while you're watching a movie or something.

Unless its a goddamned 'There is a Tornado bearing down on you RIGHT NOW' alert, it seems non-sensical.

YT just adding a breaking news section on its main feed pissed me off. I had successfully cut off news entirely.

Can't imagine any one liking that.

I think their main goal is to monitize more of the screen, and this is just a test. It's a very slippery slope and I can see in a few years streaming becoming what the bad guy from Ready Player One wanted to do with the Oasis.

To each their own, but GotG Vol. 3 is one of the best superhero movies ever made, IMO.

I thought GotG 3 was pretty good, really. The characters weren't just caricatures of themselves which often happens with sequels.

I'm not sure about the movie as a whole but it was Pratt's best performance in all his marvel appearances.

Don't know where that 'realness' was in all the previous installments but they could've used used it, as opposed to him just playing an insecure clown.

Since the movie leaned so much on its cute animal characters it's hard to say if it was watchable in spite of that or because of it.

At the very least it did some different things and you can't say that about a lot of forgettable third installments.

Considering everything, I think GotG3 was incredibly good.

Any movie where Nathan Fillion has a substantial role gets a thumbs up from me.

GOTG3 has a funny 2nd act cameo that barely impacts the plot and gets praised.

Thor L&T has a funny 2nd act cameo that barely impacts the plot and gets criticized.

That doesn't seem fair.

Just watched the new Indiana Jones. It felt frustratingly close to being a very good movie, but lacking for reasons I can't put my finger on. Still a fun ride though.

I wish there wasn't so much talk about a de-aged Ford, because it was very inconsequential to the movie.

You know what?? I thought the new Indiana Jones movies was rock solid.

Especially after watching 4 days after I did the marathon of the first 4.

It's better than Temple and Kingdom. Yeah I said it. It's the 3rd best movie in the franchise.
