Lack of interesting new games maybe? Sick of all the in-game purchases needed? Or the grinding it out? I'm not sure but its a pretty sudden change.

Anyone else experience that?
that's me. Nothing released lately that really interests me, and there isn't much on the horizon either. The itch is there, but there's nothing to scratch it with.

I've found it is usually just mental fatigue in general that gets me.

I want to play a new game, it looks fun and interesting...but then finally sitting down to play it during a little bit of time I've found for myself, and I find myself just mentally done for the day. After work/chores/family and everything that comes with that I just don't have a lot left to really get into a game and learn the mechanics and systems. So I end up just going back to something old that I already know like the back of my hand or just browse the internet/watch something that takes zero brain capacity. Sad state of affairs sometimes because I do know I'd like that game.

Yep, same here. A mix of getting older, losing interest in a lot of the typical 'mainstream' stuff, and gaming in general not having a lot of new ideas while asking for more premium prices.

I had to take a step back and really review what I liked about the hobby and what I find interesting. I discovered I still love games but I'm really only interested in Nintendo, indies, and VR. I find all three of those areas feel less cynical -- like they're chasing making good games and new, creative experiences, not just after my dollar. Focusing on those and ignoring most of the output from the major AAA studios has led to m finding a lot more enjoyment out of gaming again.

There are so many games out that you can pretty much find whatever you are looking for whenever you want. Sometimes people seem to focus on the "latest" releases and what not. The historical backlog is an amazing source of gaming.

There enough great "old" titles to last a few lifetimes if not dozens.

Play what you want when you want. Don't let hype or the latest fad restrict your enjoyment. Doing other hobbies that make you happy is good too!

I've got so many hours into BG3. Best game of the year for me so far, maybe even the last few years. I'm only just getting out of Act 1 since I didn't skip any side quests and explored every inch of the first area.

Re: chemgear and PoE trading... even as someone with over 1k hours into PoE, I still don't know everything about the trading/selling to vendors system, so you aren't alone lol. Spend most of my time using the trade site just getting minor things to tweak my builds most of the time.

I am kinda waiting on their next sale (2-3 weeks?) for some tabs perhaps. The game has been nice after Diablo falling off like a cliff, happy to front some money to them. Extra nice knowing that it'll carry over to POE 2 as well. Developers seem like a decent group of folks.

Watching the GGG ExileCon stuff just makes it easy as a fan of their game to feel secure knowing that they have the game's health as a top priority. Definitely recommend picking up stash tabs if you're ever going to throw money at anything for PoE, as like you said, they will carry over into PoE 2. And they make quality of life so much better.

They have had some 'down' seasons but they usually follow those up with an epic season after that.

Difference is Andromeda actually released like that. You need a mod to see these animations in Cyberpunk because the developers never intended for anyone to see them.

Oh, the reviews are bad now that people can drop one on steam.

Was heavily, have been taking a year + break though, but it's hard to let all that money sit there so I'm thinking of picking it up again in the winter.

I bet all the cars I own aren't in any racing series anymore lol.

clearing my PS4 backlog, so I've started Hollow Knight. Not super into Metroidvania games, but this is fun so far. Testing my patience though, I just flat out suck at this lol.

So I got cyberpunk at everyone’s behest and it’s not bad. Still a glitch filled #### show that crashes more than any game I’ve played before and has game breaking bugs that force me to go back to previous saves far too often but fun. Me and my gorilla arms are face punching everyone who doesn’t immediately die from spreadable quickhacks, fun fun. Definitely went from an enjoyable difficulty to “I’m an unstoppable god” very quickly though

Agreed.

I'm basically saying it's a silly comment because it's not even that bad in comparison and you weren't even supposed to see it.

Does anyone else got the email about their Xbox Gold subscription being changed in the future, it seems a lot worse or am I wrong?

Xbox Live Gold started going downhill a while ago when they change the amount of free games from 4 to 2. Not that I'll ever play 90-95% of the games anyway.
