I was wondering if the Rays would rest guys in the final series vs Yankees since they have nothing to play for. But then Kiermayer said he hopes they get to play Jays again this season so maybe that motivates them
|

I sometimes wish teams were more petty in professional sports. Like the Yankees absolutely own the Twins. And have done so for the last 3 decades and in a way that would make the Rays dominance of the Jays blush. The Twinkies had the opportunity to make the Yanks path to the playoffs very hard. All they had to do was, you know, just kind of lay down and let the Jays roll over them for 4. But no, they had to try, and take 2 from the Jays so far. Stupid professionalism.

If the Jays can't win these games, that's on the Jays and not the Twins.
