Some guys just aren't meant to be faces, and even if they get over as a fan favourite when they are a heel they shouldn't change their personalities at all.
Rock and Austin are the two best examples of this, they stayed true to their heel characters even when they were technically faces.
MJF kind of did that too, still worked in his smarky heel when he was face (and his actual face work always felt like he was putting on an act)

Yeah, AEW just needs to let these guys continue to cook with what's working instead of flipping them once they get hot.
The Rock is signing people ? He just posted on Insta that he signed Drew McIntyre
Probably means Drew will be on "Team Rock" for Survivor Series for War Games. Maybe they'll even build a stable with him? Kind of clever if they can turn seemingly meaningless events into building stories... They've been doing a lot of that recently, I give the current writing team huge credit for that.
I haven't watched the clip, and I am sure the idea of the gorilla and a q-tip was a joke with no relation to race that was made during the clip...
But what the actual ####? How could anyone think that was a good idea?
There is absolutely nothing racist in that clip. I can't believe anyone could be offended by such a thing. AEW fans have lost their minds over a thumbnail without even listening. What a world we live in. Cornette has been one of the supporters of Swerve. He was right about the match, booking, and position of Swerve in the card is nonsensical.
Swerve should be treated as a big deal as the new Heavyweight Champion, and yet he's just "another champion" in AEW. Mox was in the main event, and put Hobbs on the shelf. I was thinking about it the other night, is anyone being booked properly in AEW? I can't think of a single story that's being booked well. AEW fans will obviously disagree, but ratings, attendance, and any other metric (beyond Meltzer ratings) show the true story. They made 400k in gate for Dynasty, which is a brutal figure.

IMO, Swerve should have had the last match on Dynamite. Whenever you have your top champion wrestling in the middle of the card, the importance of their reign kinda loses its lustre - and doing it right in their first title defense is weird. The last 15 minutes of the show should usually be focused on the champ, and the storyline they're in. He's the top dog after all. AEW needs to start leaning into the 'final boss' aura for their champs. They need to make them look like killers/wordbeaters better, with longer stories and more teasing of anticipated matches. WWE did this extremely well with Roman Reigns, and are currently doing it with Cody; they did it really well with Rhea Ripley really before her injury too.

Considering Cornette has some pretty racist skeletons in his closet, it was a stupid thumbnail choice.
Dude has been caught saying the n-word way more than anyone should be.
I did forget about that incident.
Either way, I don't think Cornette is racist. Guy is a bleeding heart liberal. I do think he's had too many issues in the past for that picture to be a good idea.
If anything Cornette is sexist, with some of the things he's said about women wrestlers in the past. He's not racist. It's a Youtube thumbnail. Do you really think Cornette is even in charge of those? He's always praised Swerve. Swerve is one of the few people on that roster he actually likes.
Apparently Patrick Mahomes was on Raw tonight? PVRing it for later tonight, but that's pretty cool. Basically the biggest athlete in North America showing up on a professional wrestling program, neat!

It's not that I think he's racist. It's that he's said dumb #### and he should be more aware of the fact he has said some dumb ####.
Love or hate Cornette, he says dumb, anachronistic things that give people the idea he is racist/sexist/homophobic. He is none of these things. He's a bleeding heart liberal that has an overly strict definition of what professional wrestling should be.
